Sunday, 15th January 2017 - Slayer: A Human Target

Dear Diary

I knife still smelt like horse, but it just wasn't as strong anymore. I wanted it to be stronger, but there were no animals around that were good enough for me to slay. I considered going back to the farm, but disregarded that almost immediately. Since the death of that horse earlier this week, it had been a lot busier than it had normally been. The owner had made appearances everywhere, and the police had been practically crawling over the scene. The chance of me being caught was just far too high.

Instead I did the next best thing. I watched and rewatched all of my videos that I had made during the slaughter, while listening to the horses dying moments. Unfortunately, I felt like I connected with the smell the most, and my only link to that was going to be gone any day now. That was the way of things.

I stopped smelling my knife quite as much. I feared that if I gave it too much attention, the smell would disappear far too quick. I still wasn't even washing it daily. I needed the stench to last as long as possible.

I didn't know what I was going to do when it was gone. I considered slaying something else, but I did not know what I would slay. There was so much choice.

Part way through thinking, my computer froze. The video's stopped playing and the audio stopped. The computer even seemed to restart. When it rebooted though, a new series of webpages were open.

It seemed to be a series of documents from one of the local schools, based on the work experience that was coming up. I thought this was pretty weird. Not only was there this, but included was also the full itinerary of an individual girl and a bunker at a nearby facility.

It was almost as if somebody had given me a target. I don't know who it was, but somebody out there seemed to be watching over me, supplying me a victim, an animal, a slaughter.

Next week was going to be very enjoyable.

Very enjoyable indeed.
