Wednesday, 1st February 2017 - Lion: Seeing Prey
Dear Diary
I spent most of the day doing a little bit more of the school work, but it continued to be rather difficult with the cast on. I was looking forward to whenever it came off. I hoped that such an event would occur rather soon.
That evening after school, Mouse came in to visit me. He brought Prey in to see me. I was rather surprised that he had come.
"Hey" I said to Mouse, greeting him.
I turned towards Prey.
"Hey" he said towards me. I was confused as to why he was here. He seemed to see this in my face.
"I came to see how you were" he answered the unspoken question. I shrugged. He sat down on the chair next to Mouse.
I spent some time talking to Mouse about school. It seemed to be going well for him, for the most part. He seemed to be enjoying everything that was happening there. Not much drama had started up yet, although it was only the third day of school. Additionally, Mouse didn't really seem to get too caught up with many of these things.
Mouse eventually stopped talking. He looked at Prey, and then left. Mouse must have realized he wanted to say things in private.
After Mouse had pulled the door behind him, Prey began to say what he wanted to say.
"Is she...?" he asked, obviously referring to Intruder.
I nodded slowly, still saddened to think about it.
"You didn't know?" I asked him.
"No" he said, his lip quivering while he looked off into the distance. I didn't know what I should do next. Part of me wanted to tell him what Intruder had told me, but I didn't know what that would do to him. I decided to leave it for now.
