Monday, 30th January 2017 - Lion: Missing School
Dear Diary
Mouse did not come to see me again today. He had to go to school today. I had not been allowed to go. The hospital staff had told me it may be several weeks before I can go again. Luckily, Mouse had told me that he was going to get all of the school work that I needed for me. Unfortunately, doing it was going to be a little more difficult with my writing hand in a cast.
I continued to spend a lot of time in the garden. I found it to be such a fascinating place. It was such an opposite place to everything else that I had been exposed to for the past few weeks. It was maintained, but not so well that everything was pristine and perfect. It had a subtle touch of overgrowth which I felt gave it a lot more character. It was practically a zoo, with many varied types of small animals and insects. Twisting and turning through the entire location was an old red path. It was starting to fall apart and had obviously seen many pairs of feet over the years. Underfoot, I think that even the path felt nice. Like everything I loved about the garden, it was so different to everything else. Instead of being smooth and soft underfoot, it was extremely rough and hard.
Scattered throughout were several chairs. Some I dared not sit on, but others I spent hairs resting idly on.
