I sat by the fire with my boyfriend Monty, both of us being very tired as we had just been rescued from mount weather. We sat alone waiting for the others to be cleared from medical when Monty finally broke the silence,

"Hey do you wanna play a game" he smiled for the first time since we were rescued

"Okay" I smiled back tiredly "what game?"

"Twenty one questions?' he asked

"Alright, you go first"

"What's your favourite book?"

"Hmmmmm, Me before you" I smiled thinking of my favourite book from the ark "what's your favourite colour?"

"Green!" he laughed causing me to join in,

"What was your life like before I met you?" our laughs faded as all the memories of my life on the ark came flooding back.

"Well my dad was floated before I was born so it was just me and my mother. My mum had an obsession with being popular and liked so she made me do many things I didn't agree with to get a good reputation but I guess it was okay because she was my only family and I loved her. When I was about 14 she was accused of stealing extra food rations and was therefore floated. I was so upset at her execution that I assaulted a guard in the hopes of saving her, but it didn't work and I was sent to the skybox only to be sent down to earth 3 years later and you know the rest." I didn't notice I had tears pouring out of my eyes until I felt Monty pull me close as he wiped them away.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry" he smiled softy, kissing my temple

"It's okay, I would've told you sooner or later" I smiled kissing him on the lips.
