Tonight was the Masquerade Dance and you had just finally finished convincing Murphy to go with you as he was too scared to leave his hiding spot just in case the guards caught him for god knows what crime his committed this time. You went back to your quarters to change into your usual attire and the mask your mother had made you (picture below)

you and Murphy made your way into the hall where the dance was taking place,
"you look Beautiful Maddie" Murphy complimented kissing your cheek,
"thank you Murphy, you don't look to bad yourself" you giggled, Murphy smiled back, grabbing your hand and pulling you towards the dance floor. You danced the night away, having so much fun until the guards rudely interrupted with a routine check,
"Maddie i have to get out of here" Murphy whispered into your ear
"don't get caught" you replied kissing him on the lips,
" i'll try" he said before walking away and heading for a exit that guards weren't occupying. Just as he was leaving two guards came rushing over and asked for his ID, he looked towards you panicked but complied hesitantly, as soon as they checked it they grabbed Murphy and put handcuffs on him. Without a moment hesitation you ran towards the guards and punched one straight in the jaw making him fall to the ground. The other guard quickly pulled out this electric shocker and hit you. You fell to the floor with a thud and soon blacked out from all the pain.

You woke up with a head ache and in a strange room you assumed was a cell in the skybox. Next to you sat a sad looking Murphy,
"Murph whats wrong?" you asked sitting up and taking his hands in yours,
"it's all my fault we're in here, its bad enough i got my parents killed but now the person i love is going to die for the mistake i made" tears spilled out of his eyes
"no baby its not, i love you and i would do anything for you even dying cause i can't live without you" you replied wiping his tears away with your thumb, smiling lightly
"I love you so much Maddie" He said kissing your passionately.
