A few days later at school was a very good day for Alex. He was very happy with the new kids. Alex had spent every night at Aaron's the past week or so. The boys had just come back over for one more sleepover the night prior to the excellent day.

"Hi Mr.Washington!" Alex waved at his teacher.
Mr.Washington waved back and beamed at the new kid he had taken such a liking too. "Hello Alex." Then he took notice of the four other boys trailing through the door, all carrying matching lunch box's that said 'Aaron Burr' on them. The five boys were laughing and pushing. "Hello Laffe, Aaron, John, Hercules."
Hercules and John both highfived Mr.Washington.
The boys went to the backroom and Alex stopped in his tracks. Ten feet in front of them was the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen, she was braiding another girls hair and giggling.
"Who is that?" He hissed.
"I don't know." John shrugged and walked off, going to the bouncy ball section of the room. Laffe bounded off after him. Hercules looked between the two situations and decided to go to the arts and crafts section, where he saw a young girl in a daisy dress playing with paper dolls.
"She's pretty." Aaron agreed with Alex, knowing his new friend's brain like it was his own.

"I'm going up to her." Alex said promptly.
"What? You don't even know her!" Aaron exclaimed.
"Even better reason to get to know her, amiright?" Alex nudged Aaron and then began to walk up to the girl. Aaron stood, dumfounded. Alex was next to her quickly, as he walked with purpose.

"Hi. I'm Alex and I can't help but notice that I don't know your name. What is it?" He said slyly.
The girl giggled yet again and tugged on the girl who's hair she was doing, by accident Alex hoped.
"Ow!" The second girl exclaimed.

"Sorry. I'm Angelica, I'm in Kindergarten but I come here on Fridays because Mr.Washington asked me to be a helper, I think he just wants me around my sisters."
"Oh. Who are your sisters?"

"Hold on a second. What's your name?"
"Right of course, where are my manners? Oh, I see them. Under the table over there, my bad. I'll get them in a minute." Then, he waited for a laugh that would never come. He shrugged and continued. "I'm Alex." He was used to this nickname by now. As the four other boys had called him it now several times.
"Where's your family from?" Angelica was back to braiding the girl's hair.
"Um, that's unimportant." Then realizing he sounded unimpressive he added another thing he had made up in his mind. "And there's a million things I haven't done. But just you wait." Angelica nodded. "Just you wait." Alex repeated. Angelica, now noticing that was it, nodded.

"Oh okay." Then she smiled at the girl. "This is Eliza." Alex didn't really care. Until she added,"My sister."
"Oh!" Alex sprung into action. running in front of the girl and waving. He stuck a hand out, noticing now she was pretty too. "Nice to meet you. I'm Alexander Hamilton."
Eliza, unlike her sister, didn't notice the boy's scruffy appearance, and slightly stained clothes. She didn't care about his long scraggly knotted hair. All she cared about was the tingly sensation she felt in her belly when she saw him, and when she shook his hand.
"That's Peggy." She felt the need to say SOMETHING. She pointed in the corner. "Wearing the daisy dress."
"Aw. How old is she?" Alex noticed the girl was much shorter than any of the other kids.

"Just turned three." Eliza answered.
Angelica was feeling ignored now so she interrupted. "Yes, she wanted so badly to come her because Eliza and I talk so highly about it that Mr.W let her join a few days late, once she was already 3."
"Oh, that's really cool. Yeah, I love it here. I'm brand new too, so Peggy and I can bond over that." Alex didn't really know what to say now. He saw, out of the corner of his eye, his friend Aaron standing in the corner, watching in awe. He waved Aaron over. "This is my friend Burr. Aaron, Burr that is. Aaron, Angelica. Angelica, Aaron. That's Eliza."
Aaron smiled shyly, then noticed a nice smell in the air. "You smell good. Like my grandma."

Angelica was disgusted. "Burr you disgust me!"
"Oh." Aaron was hurt.
"Hey!" Alex exclaimed. "Ru-ude."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to be. It's just... Like your Grandma?"
"Grandma's smell good!" Eliza voiced.
"At least, mine does." Aaron put in.
"Alright, so he meant it as a compliment. He was copacetic." Alex, unsure what the word meant exactly, decided to use it. "Angelica thought it was mean so she reacted. All is well guys?" Alex turned when he heard the door open, it was Mr.W.

"Hello Everyone, and good morning. I have an announcement, if everyone could please get a rug square and get in a circle, I'd be very happy."
Everyone quickly gathered around him with their rug squares and smiled at him.

"We have a new student here with us today. Peggy Schuyler, if you'd come up and join me."
Alex, Angelica, Eliza and Hercules all clapped. Alex was confused as to why Hercules was clapping, and Hercules was about Alex. Peggy got up and stood behind Mr.W's legs. "Peggy, would you like to tell us 3 things about yourself?"

"Uh-" Peggy glanced around the room, and sought confidence in her classmate's eyes. "My real name is, uh, Margarita. I, uh, lo-love cats and-" She focused now on one person in the audience. A boy she didn't know the name of, he smiled at her and nodded. She looked at the lunch box in his lap 'Aaron Burr' it read, of course, she didn't know this, as she couldn't read yet. "I have three cats and two sisters. She said, more confidently this time.
