Helpless

"I don't!" Eliza hissed.
"Shush- I won't tell anyone!" Angelica teased her sister, poking her side and smiling,

"I do not like Alex." Eliza stopped on the sidewalk, glaring at her sister.

"I like Aaron Burr!" Peggy skipped in between the sisters. Who stared after her, smiles breaking out on their faces.
"Really?" Eliza said, catching up to Peggy by running. Angelica did to.
"This isn't over Lizzy." She said.

"It is Angie!"

"Guys wait up!" The girls' older brother, Philip Jeremiah. Or what they liked to call him, Jerry. The girls slowed down, but only slightly.
"We're about a block away from school. Could you do me a favor and just stay nearby? Dad'll kill me if I lose you. Then he'll find you and kill you!" Jerry was smiling at his younger sisters. It was his duty to walk them to school, go to school himself, then go to soccer and then walk all of them home.

"You aren't wrong." Angelica agreed.

"No." Laurens had his arms crossed.

"But the two of you TOTALLY shared a moment." She giggled. Alex had seen her that morning and had invited the pretty girl to hang out with them. 
"Maria! No!" Laurens insisted.

"Well I think Peggy likes you. She was staring at you." Maria giggled.

"Shush up." Laurens looked at the ground.
"I do think so. If you don't want that, then don't like her."
"I do like her!" Laurens exclaimed. "Not that way!" He then blushed.

"Oh sure."
"I don't like Pegs that way!"

"You do John. She likes you too. She said she liked Aaron, and I asked her why and she said 'because he made me feel confident.' that was you, she just thought it was Aaron cause of your lunchbox!" Hercules butted in.
"Butt out Herc!"

"Come on Johnny Boy!"
"Here's Johnny!" Maria squealed shrilly.
Laurens blushed a deep red again, and then met eyes with Peggy across the room, who was also blushing, being teased by her siblings for liking Aaron Burr.
