Alex look at his little sister with love. "How are you Anna?"
"Baidi." She giggled, clapping her hands together with joy.
"Sounds about right." A high, but kind voice said.Alex lifted his gaze from his baby sister, to the teenager standing in his room. "Hi, I'm Kitty. You're new babysitter."
"Kitty Schuyler- right! I forgot it was today." Alex nodded. "Please, sit." He gestured to the bean bag chair on the floor.
Kitty took a moment to sit, but finally ended up criss-cross applesauce on the beanbag.
"Comfy? Do you need anything? Water? A snack?" Alex asked, sometimes the new babysitters would get nervous as these interviews.
"I'll probably have something later... do you like chicken nuggets?"
"Ew." Alex shook his head. "No no no."
"Really? I'm a vegetarian- I've just heard a lot of kids like chicken nuggets so I figured I'd give it a go. Guess not." Kitty laughed.
Alex perked up when he heard this. "A vegetarian? What's that like? What will you have?"
"Oh, probably some Caesar salad ill whip together." Kitty offered him a small smile.
Alex excepted greatly. "Can I have some?" The two beamed at each other and nodded happily.
"Of course Alex, and Anna. I'll get you a bottle of your little disgusting formula." Kitty said in a baby voice. "Oh yes I will. I sure will." She cooed.
"So... Kitty... what do you do in your free time? Is your real name Kitty?" Alex knew that it wasn't, but he needed to hear it from her.
Kitty took in a deep breath. "I really like musicals, singing. My sisters don't really like theatre, but I enjoy it greatly. And no, my real name is Katherine. But I'm called Kitty because..." Kitty blushed.
"You robbed a store dressed up in a cat costume?" Alex joked, pretending to be shocked.
"No!" Kitty looked positively terrified that he could even think that. "I accidentally meow when I sleep, not on purpose."
"Accidentally means not on purpose."
"Right."
"You're hired."
