George King walked into preschool with a huge smile on my face. He ran right up to Alex and his friends and wrapped his arms around them. He let go and pulled away.
"Hiya guys!" He waved.
"Hi George..." John said. Alex glanced around at his friends to see if they had any idea what George was up to. By the looks of confusion on their faces, they didn't.
"Mon ami, what is it?" Laf asked, putting a hand on George's shoulder."Well... it seems kind of lame now." George frowned.
"Mr.King." Alex began. "I assure you, we will will not think it's lame."
George King smiled again. "Well, I was wondering if you guys wanted to come to my birthday party. It's this weekend and it's at the laser-tag place downtown. I'm turning 6!""That sounds-" Alex started. He saw the nervous expression flicker across George's otherwise smiling face. His friends all stared at him, ready to poo-poo it or ready to bring it up. "That sounds awesome!" Alex flung his arms around George, pulled away and jumped up and down.
"Really?" George squeaked.
"Really." Hercules threw a fist in the air.
"Oh and Mr.King?" Alex asked."Yes...?" George turned to look at Alex.
"What kind of presents should we bring?"
"Oh! Well, I really like Star Wars (#RIPcarriefisher) and uh-books." George answered.
"Well go invite the other people you're inviting!" Alex shooed George away before turning to his friends.
"That sounds excellent!" Herc did an odd little jig, and laughed goofily."It really does!" John whooped.
"We'll work on the presents." Alex murmured to Laf. Laf nodded and turned to Alex-"Immigrants, we get the job done." The two boys high-fived.
"I wonder who else'll be there..." John wondered aloud.
"Probably Pegs, Liza, and Angie." Alex answered.
"Oh and definitely Samuel Seaburry." Herc added.
Alex hissed unpleasantly. John pat his best friends back. "It's okay bud.""But you will be nice to him. This party isn't about you." Hercules said, he liked being nice to everyone, it was his motto. Be nice and people will be nice back. Alex didn't quite agree with it and said 'you're putting to much faith in humanity'. Hercules liked putting faith in Humanity though, it made him feel like this country had something to prove.
"George! Open my gift!" Eliza pointed at the HUGE basket next to the pile of presents. George began to unwrap it and ripped it open. He saw-
"Stuffed animals?""Matching brand! One for each person here. They even have little name tags." Eliza giggled.George distributed the stuffed animals.
"Who doesn't have one?" George said, Alex raised his hand. He located Alex in the crowd and gave him his stuffed animal.
"Thanks."
"No problem." George grinned and began to give the rest of the stuffed animals away, handing Eliza the last one.
Alex looked at his stuffy. It was a yellow and maroon striped tiger. He looked at the nametag, 'Philip.' "Hi Philip." Alex said to his stuffy."I got Philip too!" Eliza squealed. She walked over to Alex.
