"Is?" Hercules squeaked, his mind racing.
The room was silent for a minute before the doctor continued speaking. "Is that you don't have a son, but a daughter."
The room erupted into whoops and cheers. Georgia picked up Alex and spun him around whil Alex shouted. "I have a baby sister I have a baby sister!" At the top of his lungs.
"Can we visit her?" Laf asked.
"Only if you're family." The doctor responded to the cute little french boy. "Are you family?" He asked skeptically.
Laf glanced around the room. For so long he had insisted that he wasn't a part of the Washington family. For so long he had refused to call George dad or Martha mom. He had thought that his family was locked in jail and he didn't deserve a new one. But all that had changed in the hospital that day. When he had been so nervous to lose Martha, his new mom. He looked into the doctor's eyes defiantly. "I am her son." Then he raised an eyebrow. "Is it because I'm french?""No!" The doctor exclaimed, the hospital had a high 'no-discrimination' policy.
"Because I'm adopted." Laf then skipped over to Alex, who had been set back on the ground, and looped his arm in Alex's. They both walked behind their dad, happy as could be as they headed to their mom and baby sister.
