Hercules strutted through the mall, a hand on his hip. Lafayette and Alex stood on either side of him, and Martha completed the diamond shaped posse.
"So Herc, what store next?" Alex piped up as they walked.
"I've heard Macy's is good for baby clothes!" Laf chimed, he smiled at his brother goofily.
"Ooooh!" Alex nodded.
"That could be great! I've been to Macy's before, very nice." Martha agreed with her two sons.
Hercules whirled around, causing the three Washingtons to stop in their step. He glared at them all so fiercely that they cowered back, stepping a few steps away from him in fear. "We are not going to Macy's." He said sternly.
"Macy's is great! Why not?" Martha attempted to argue with the aspiring fashionista.
"Macy's is great, but not for baby clothes Mrs. Washington." Hercules said, his lips pursed.
"Call me Martha." Martha replied, smiling at her sons' best friend. He was wearing a T-Shirt of Alex's and some brown khakis his mother had made for him.
"That's okay Mrs. Washington!" Herc said as he turned back around to lead the group to the next store.
"So... where exactly are we going Herc?" Alex repeated his previous question, as he still did not know the real answer.
"Primary of course. It's the most glamorous and beautiful of all the stores in this mall." Hercules sighed and shook his head. "Why can't I have one friend who knows the rules of fashion?"
"There are rules in fashion?" Laf questioned, he sure did not understand that.
"Of course there are! No white after Labor Day, strictest rule ever." He looked Alex up and down. "Alex." He said warning ly.
"Sorry!" Alex was wearing his favorite white sneakers and white shirt that said "SURFS UP!" In blue on it. "I didn't know!"
"I'll give you a pass on this one I suppose, but next time." Hercules let his friend off kindly.
"Thanks Herc, now let's get some baby clothes!"
