I silently walked into my living room, trying not to disturb my wife, who was sitting on the couch. I tried to tiptoe behind her, but Annabeth has ears like a hawk,
"Percy!" She yelled to me. "Could you please do me a favour?" I groaned as quietly as I could and walked to her.
"Yes?" I said and kissed her cheek.
"Could you get me some pickles? I've been craving them all day." She said. I sighed and walked to my kitchen. There's another craving. Yesterday for lunch she craved hamburgers, for dinner cereal, for breakfast this morning pizza, and now pickles. I grabbed the jar of pickles from the fridge and walked back to my wife sitting on the couch.
"Here's your pickles..." I said as Annabeth took the jar from me. She smiled and opened it, letting the smell of pickles fill the house, she picked one out and put a layer of whipped cream on it before shoving it in her mouth. I stared at her in disgust. She noticed and raised and eyebrow at me.
"What?" She asked, her mouth still full of pickle and whipped cream.
"Um... Doesn't that taste bad?" She swallowed.
"No. Not really." I sat down beside her and put my arm around her waist.
"Annabeth... I'm not sure if you've noticed, but you've been craving a lot lately. Are you feeling alright?" I said. She nodded.
"Yeah fine." After eating a couple more pickles, Annaneth closed the jar and set it down.
"Hey, I think that I'm going to go hang out with Piper and Hazel for a bit. Ok?"
"Fine, whatever. Just be safe, ok?" She stood up and started to walk towards the front door. She grabbed her bag and opened the door.
"See you later, Seaweed Brain." She said and kissed me.

"Percy?" I heard Annabeth's voice ask. It was very soft- softer than I had ever heard her before. I turned towards her.
"Look! I made a water ball!" I told her, showing the ball of water I had floating between my hands.
"That's nice, Perce. But um-"
"Look now I can make it a triangle!" I turned the water into a triangular shape.
"Percy, listen-"
"Now it's moving!" I made the water swirl around.
"Percy this is serious." She said very seriously and much louder. I let the water drop to the floor.
"Uh, ok. What is it?" I asked. Annabeth's expression was very serious.
"We better sit down..." She said, grabbing my hand and leading me towards the couch.
"Ok, so what is it?" I asked again. Annabeth bit her lip.
"Um... I, uh, when I was with the girls... Wait, actually... We ,um, were talking about certain things... And we, uh, I mean-"
"Wait, do you want to like, split up of something?" I asked her. Her grey eyes widened.
"Oh, gods no! I love you. It's something... Something more complicated than that...." She looked away from me. I squeezed her hands.
"Come on. Tell me." I pleaded. Annabeth looked at me for a moment.
"Percy... I'm pregnant."
I looked at my wife with my mouth open. Annabeth closed my eyes.
"Look, I know that we're just married, but I couldn't hide the fact-"
"No, Annabeth, this is amazing!" I put my hands on her stomach. "You're going to be a mother! I'm going to be a father!" She laughed.
"I know!" She said.
"Why were you so afraid to tell me?" I asked. She sighed and shrugged.
"I don't know. I thought... That you would leave me. That you wouldn't be able to handle a child and that you would leave..." I wrapped my arm around her.
"I will never, ever, leave you. Ok?"
"Ok." She said. We kissed, and when we pulled apart, I couldn't help beaming.
"I can't believe that I'm going to be a father! I'm going to have my own son or daughter... One of my own..." Annabeth looked at me.
"You'll be a wonderful dad."
"And you'll, be an amazing mom." I told her and pressed my lips to hers.
