Cuddles

I buried my face deeper into my pillow.

"Calypso..." a familiar voice sang. "Calypso, are you awake?"

"No."

"Yes you are."

"No I'm not. I'm sleeping."

Two arms wrapped around my waist. Two arms that belonged to my boyfriend, Leo.
"Calyyyyyypso..." Leo whispered.

"What is it Leo," I muttered.

"It's really cold in here. Lets cuddle."

"I swear to the gods, Valdez, if you set me on fire again I will strangle you with my bare hands," I told him.

"Hey, I can control when I go on fire now. And why would I set my beloved girlfriend on fire?"

"Because you're an idiot." I tried to move away from my boyfriend, but he had his arms locked around me.

"I wanna cuddle, Calypso."

"Cuddle with the pillow," I grumbled. "I'm trying to sleep."

"I'm not cuddling with a pillow. I'm a man. Men don't cuddle with pillows."

"Men don't cuddle at all," I told him. "And besides, you're barely a man, Leo."

"Since I'm not a man... I can cuddle! So cuddle with me, Calypso," he said.

I sighed. I knew that I was not going to win here, so I just flipped over. Leo was right there, his bare chest all up in my face. I looked up at him; he was smirking down at me.

"Hi honey," he said in a sweet voice.

"I really hate you," I told him.

"No, you love me." Leo leaned down and kissed me on the lips.

I rolled my eyes and put my head on his chest and closed my eyes.

"Calypso," Leo said. "I don't think you get the concept of cuddling. You can't cuddle with someone without actually cuddling them. One person can't do all of it. You have to cuddle back."

"You say cuddle too much," I said. But, I wrapped my arms around him tightly.

"Now that wasn't so hard, was it?" he asked.

I tilted my head up and gave him a lingering kiss.

"Goodnight, Leo," I said and closed my eyes.

"Goodnight cuddle buddy," Leo said.

I couldn't help but smile as I dozed off.
