KATIE'S POV
Where was he?! Oh... I was so going to kill him! Even though I probably looked like a weirdo, what, with the green paint covering me, I didn't care. All I wanted to do was to track down Travis Stoll and MURDER HIM!
FLASHBACK
"Katie, are you almost finished? I told Kylie that we would be back at the cabin ten minutes ago." My sister, Miranda, complained from behind me. I wiped sweat from my brow.
"Actually, I think I'll be a couple more minute. You go ahead- tell Kylie I'll be there soon." I replied, keeping my eyes glued to my garden. Miranda shrugged an walked away. I had spent the last two weeks growing and planting rare flowers. Right now, I was making sure that a couple of Sunlight roses, which I thought were the most beautiful flowers ever, were planted properly. Sunlight roses were bright yellow, with little wisps of orange. They were circular, and always gave sunlight. I had just finished packing dirt around the bottom of the plant, when a gallon of water was poured over my head. Wait- no, not water. Paint. Neon green PAINT. I looked down, and my whole garden looked like all the green vegetables in the world got together and threw up all over my plants. Paint got in my eyes, and they started to sting. I put my hands to my eyes.
"My eyes! My garden!" I cried. I opened my eyes and saw someone running away, laughing, with a giant tin can his his hands. I knew who it was immediately.
"TRAVIS!" I yelled, shaking the paint off of my hands. Once paint was no longer dripping off of my clothes, I started to make my way to the Hermes cabin.
FLASHBACK OVER
"TRAVIS!" I screamed as I entered the Hermes cabin. Travis was the only one in there, and he was lying upside down on his bed, throwing something up and down. He saw me, and burst into laughter.
"Y-you... You got a little something on your face." He said between laughter. He got up from his bed and faced me.
"Yeah I know because you poured a bucket of paint on me!" I yelled. Travis smirked and crossed his arms.
"I am sick and tired of you pulling pranks on me and the whole cabin, destroying everything that we plant..." The more I yelled at him, the more his smile faded and started to look guilty.
"And, it's always me that you pull pranks on! Why can't you just leave me alone, even for just one-" Travis interrupted me by walking up to me, grabbing me by the waist, and kissing me full on the lips. Obviously, he didn't care that there was paint on my lips. I put my hands on his face and kissed him back, even though part of me wanted to break away and kick him in the you-know-where. After what seemed like forever, Travis pulled away, but he kept holding me. I stared at the green blotches that I left on his lips and cheeks.
"Um, you got a little something on your face..." I said quietly, not taking my eyes off of Travis. He smirked.
"I know." He said before leaning in once more. I put my hands on his cheeks again and kissed him.
"WHAT is going on here?!" Someone yelled from behind me. Travis and I jumped away from each other, only to find about a dozen campers crowded around the cabin doorway. At the front was Connor Stoll, Travis's twin brother.
"Oh... You know... We were just, um..." I was trying to think of something to say.
"For gods' sake, Connor! We were kissing! Wasn't that obvious enough for your tiny little brain?" Travis said. A bunch of Aphrodite girls burst through the crow as soon as they heard the word "kiss". They started asking a bunch of questions, and I was glad that they couldn't see me blushing through the paint. I saw Percy and Annabeth go over to Travis and started to talk. I managed to drown out the sound of the peppy Aphrodite girls and catch Travis's attention. He looked at me, smirked, and winked.
