Mistletoe

**I know that this is kind of Christmassy, but come on. It's Percabeth. It doesn't matter.**

I rushed through the doors of the Big House, and followed the scent of gingerbread. I entered the room with the strongest smell, and smiled at the other occupants.

"Hi, Annabeth!" Silena Beauregard called from the couch, where she was sitting with her boyfriend, Charlie Beckendorf.

"Hey," I replied, smiling. My nose was cold from the wind and light snow outside, and it felt good to get in the warmth of the Big House. I took off my jacket, and sat down on an empty couch. I looked around- there was a total of 10 people in the room: Connor and Travis Stoll, Katie Gardner, Silena, Beckendorf, Thalia Grace, Nico di Angelo, Grover Underwood, Juniper and myself. There was a roaring fire in the corner, and hot chocolate was being passed around. Thalia handed me a mug and sat on the floor at my feet.

"So, what are you guys doing for the winter break?" She asked. Everyone replied with the usual, staying at camp.

Suddenly, someone burst in through the doors.

"PERSASSY HAS ARRIVED!" Percy Jackson, my best friend, yelled as he entered. Everyone except Nico laughed, and Percy came and sat down beside me. He sat awfully close. Percy smiled at me.

"Hey, Wise Girl," He said.

"Hi, Seaweed Brain," I replied, returning the smile. Katie reached over and handed him a mug of blue hot chocolate, which he excepted happily.

The small Christmas party went by quickly, and before we knew it, Chiron was kicking us out. I stayed behind to clean up, and Percy offered to help me. We cleaned pretty fast, then started to walk out of the room. We stopped under a doorway to talk.

"So, what are you doing for Christmas?" Percy asked. I shrugged.

"Not much. Probably just going to stay at camp. You?"

"Yeah, same." He looked up from his shoes to me. "Well, Merry Christmas." He said and held out his arms. I took a step towards him. We hugged awkwardly for a couple for a couple of seconds, until I heard someone yell.

"Ooh, Percy and Annabeth under the mistletoe!" Someone teased. I pulled my head away, but Percy and I kept our arms around each other. I saw Travis and Connor Stoll standing a few feet away.

"What are you talking about?" I asked them. Connor pointed up. Percy and I both looked up... To see a green and red plant. Mistletoe. Crap. We looked at each other nervously.

"Come on!" Travis yelled, "Just one little kiss!" I bit my lip. Percy looked at me as if to say, I don't really care. So just to get it over with, I kissed him. It was supposed to be just a one second kiss, but after one second I couldn't stop. And Percy kissed me back. When we pulled away, Travis and Connor were gone. I pulled away from our hug and started to walk forwards. When I realized that Percy wasn't following, I turned around and said, "You coming?" He looked at me, smiled, and together we walked out of the Big House.
