"I can't believe that you would do this," I spat.

Percy crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. "You're overreacting," he muttered.

"Overreacting?" I gasped, tears streaming down my face. "You freaking slept with Rachel!"

"For the last time," Percy shouted, "We didn't sleep together! I was drunk, she just brought me to her place for the night! We didn't even sleep in the same room!"

I shook my head. "I knew that you always liked her. I knew that you still loved her, even after you broke up." My voice was hoarse from screaming at him and crying.

"I don't love her, Annabeth!" he yelled. "I love you-"

"Then you wouldn't have gone with her!" I screamed. "You would have known better than to sleep with her!"

"I didn't sleep with her!" Percy yelled, his face turning red with anger. "You're jealous of Rachel. You've always been jealous of her!"

His words smacked me in the face. They wrapped around my heart and shattered it to a million pieces.

I wiped the tears away from my eyes then stared at Percy.

"You know what? I'm done. I'm done with all this shit. I'm done with you." I grabbed my bag then marched out of the apartment that we once shared. I walked angrily to my car.

"Where are you going to go now?" I muttered to myself. That was my home.

Maybe I can stay with Piper and Jason, I thought. Just until I can get settled again.

I nodded, approving of my plan. I started the car then started driving to my friends Piper and Jason's house. As I drove, memories of Percy and I came back to me. We had just moved in together. Our life together had just started. Tears fell down my face. A lump formed in my throat. As my vision blurred with tears, my hands loosened on the steering wheel. They shook, making the car swerve.

Snap out of it, Annabeth, I told myself.

But it was too late. Something the car. Pain exploded from my head. I heard a loud crack. My eyes closed, and darkness surrounded me, captured me.

PERCY'S POV

It was around midnight when I got the phone call.

The loud ringing of my phone woke me up. I was still half-asleep when I answered it so I didn't even check the numbers.

"Hello?" I yawned.

"Is this Percy Jackson?" a woman asked.

"Yeah," I said sleepily.

"Are you in anyway related to Annabeth Chase?"

I perked up at the sound of Annabeth's name. "Why? Who is this?"

"Miss Chase has been in a car accident and she is currently in a coma."

"What?" I yelled, jumping out of bed.

The woman on the phone gave me details, explaining what had happened, the hospital Annabeth was at, all while I was trying to get my jeans on.

"Okay. Thanks," I said into the phone, then hung up and ran to my car. My heart was pounding in my chest as I sped down the road to the hospital where Annabeth was.
