'Evan...💔' I hit send frowning softly as I lock my phone. When it vibrates I quickly unlock it. 'Sorry love. I'll be back as soon as I can.' I hit reply typing fast. 'Just forget it Evan. I wake up alone and you won't even tell me where you are. It's not right Evan. When you get back I'll be waiting for you to take me home.'
I hit send crossing my arms. It was bad enough he left me cold and alone when I woke up but I knew he was out blowing money on me and he couldn't even tell me where he was at. My phone rings and I look at it seeing he's calling me. I answer it. "Hello?" I hear him take a breath.
"Riley I'm sorry okay?" I shake my head though he can't see me. "You want me to trust you Evan but how can I when you've been gone for hours and I was so cold this morning. I rolled over to find that the bed was empty. How do you think that makes me feel?!" There is silence but eventually I hear him speak.
"Riley I'm almost there can't we talk about this when I get there." I roll my eyes just hanging up on him. He was right though. It only took him five minutes to get back to the beach house. "Ri..." I shake my head standing up to him. "No Evan. I felt like crap this morning and I just want to know where you've been. I have this uneasy feeling you've been..."
He looks confused at first but catches on. "Is that what you think?! That I got out of my bed this morning to meet someone else?! Really Ri?! Why on Earth would I do something like that?!" I shake my head. "Because it's something I'm not ready to give."
He pulls my lips to his rougher than he ever has. "I can not believe you Riley! I! Love! You! Don't you get that?! I don't give a damn about that!" I let some tears fall. "Then tell me where you've been!" He grips my wrist so tight it hurts.
He drags me out to the car opening the door so I can see the bags. "That's where I've been Riley! I was hoping to get back before you ever woke up! I'm sorry that you woke up cold and alone but I would have never ever run to someone else!" I stand on my toes wrapping my arms around his neck sobbing into him.
"Stop. I'm sorry Evan. Just stop yelling." He hugs me back. "Baby girl I need to know. Are you really worried about me running off like that?" I can hear how his voice is much calmer. "Honestly Evan sometimes I think your happy and it's not because of me. Sometimes I think that maybe this is all some kind of sick joke."
He pulls me back letting our heads and noses touch. "Baby I would never do something like that. Do you hear me? I'm not Alec and I plan on being in your life for a long time. I love you." I smile softly. "I love you too." He smiles pulling me back into a hug. "Besides you are most definitely the reason I'm always happy Ri."
I hum. "I hope so." He pulls back some brushing the hair from my face wiping my eyes. "Now I've bought gifts. Come on." I shake my head. "No take them back. All of them." He huffs. "Well at least pick one I can save the rest for Christmas." I grab the blue shiny bag closing the door.
"Fine but only because I acted like a brat and this is what you want." He smiles following me into the house. I set the bag on the counter. I reach my hand in feeling the material so I know it's clothes. I pull out a black spaghetti strap dress and my mouth falls open. The bottom half was solid black but the top half was complete lace. It also had an oval shape in the middle where my stomach will show.
I lift my eyes to his. "Evan what is this?" He laughs. "Um Ri. I don't think I need to answer that question." I shake my head. "I mean why did you buy me this dress." He pulls me into him pinning the dress between us. "Because I thought you'd like it." I glare up at him like I'm not buying it. He huffs. "And because I thought maybe you'd let me show you off tonight."
I look down at the dress. "There's not much to show..." He kisses me. "There's plenty babe I promise you." I smile. "I'll let you drag me out but only because I owe it to you after how horrible I acted." He cups my face. "Something tells me you get jealous easy huh Ri?"
"Probably just as easy as you because you're mine babe." He hums at me and it's one of the best things I've ever heard. "What do you mean probably? Have you never been jealous before?" I sigh. "First boyfriend Evan." He kisses me. "Let me take you out on the beach then." I glare at him.
"This isn't going to end well Evan." He smiles. "Well you know I'm doing it to make you jealous so it should be fine." I huff letting him pull me out the door and on to the beach. There's a lot of people but most are girls in bikinis. He drops my hand head for a girl who seems very pretty but her body was very similar to mine.
I see him talk and laugh with her and honestly I'm not bothered by it but when her hand tugs at his shirt pulling it over his head and then proceeds to tough him something clicks in me. Before I know it I'm in front of her. "Excuse me but I'm gonna have to ask you to take you hand off of my boyfriend."
She laughs. "Honey with a man like this you should learn to keep an eye on him. Everyone around here knows this man. Handsome and rich." My teeth grind together. "If you knew about him then you knew about me." She giggles. "Honey we all know about the little delusion girl who thinks she good enough to play on the rich side."
She turns to Evan. "Here love. Call me." She hands him his shirt and I run off of the beach back to the beach house. I can hear him running after me. When I get to the house I run up the stairs packing my bag. "Ri stop!" I pull away from him sobbing. "No Evan! I tried to tell you! Listen to me. This...this isn't going to work. Evan we rushed into this and..." He grips my wrists. "Stop we'll be fine." The tears fall and I shake my head.
"I'm breaking up with you."
