Turning Back..

Chapter 14

--3 months later--

"Deven, are you ok?" Vic asked me as he knocked on the bathroom door I took a deep breath "Yeah, I'm ok just got a bad stomach I think" I stood up from my position on the floor and flushed the loo before going over to the sink and splashing some water on my face. This was the third morning in a row that I had spent in the bathroom and I had this horible feeling in the pit of my stomach that I was pregnant... Infact I knew I was pregnant there was no doubt about it, I hadn't had a period in a few months and that for some reason hadn't worried me until a couple of days ago when the morning sickness had started. I unlocked the bathroom door, Vic was stood there with a worried look on his face "Yeah I'm fine, I'm just going to nip to the store to grab some pills" he grabbed my hand  "Hey, no sit down I'll go" I shook my head

"No Vic seriously I'm fine I think it must have been the chicken I ate at Kacie's last night. Fresh air will do me good" he sighed

"Ok, if you are sure" I nodded and walked into the hallway grabbing my coat and purse and getting into my car.

Arriving at the chemist I walked in and grabbed two tests and some pepto bismal before paying for it and getting straight back into my car. I got back home and went straight into the bathroom, I couldn't see Vic anywhere when I entered so I presumed he was in the studio down the hall writing. I took one of the tests out of the packet although I was pretty certain it would be positive. I balanced the test on the sink and sat down on the toilet seat and waited for the longest three minutes of my life. I grabbed the test with a shakey hand and looked at it only to see the two lines indicating that I was pregnant. I started to weep as I thought about how this could have happened. It wasn't Vic's it can't have been Vic's because we always used protection. It was Jaime's there was no doubt about it, the night we slept together we didn't use any sort of protection. I heard someone walk down the hallway and I knew it would be Vic. What did I do? Did I tell him I was pregnant he was bound to see the test in the trash can. I now knew how Kacie felt when she thought that she was pregnant with Max's baby, I had been so cruel to her about it. I unlocked the door and held the test behind my back walking into the kitchen only to be faced with not only Vic but Tony, Mike and of course Jaime I quickly wiped the tears from my face with one of my hands keeping the other behind my back clutching to the stick in my grasp. Me and Jaime still weren't talking since what happened over Christmas and New Years. Vic looked at me and his smile dropped into a frown "Deven, is everything ok? I didn't know you were back from the store" I smiled slightly at him as he came over and hugged me, I slipped the test into my back pocket and pulled my top over it so it wasn't showing "How long have you all been here?" I asked refering to the others

"About an hour" Mike answered I smiled

"You hungry I can make you all a snack?" Vic shook his head at me

"No, no Dev I'll sort that out, go rest" I nodded and looked at Jaime who was looking directly at me with concern on his face. I turned away and walked back down the hall and upstairs to mine and Vic's bedroom placing the pregnancy test on the bed infront of me and I sobbed quietly as I thought about what was going to happen. 

Jaime's POV--

Deven looked so broken and I was definitley concerned for her, had Vic hurt her again? I turned to him "Is everything ok with you and Deven?" he looked at me

"Yeah she's fine, she's had a bad stomach this morning" he turned back to Mike who was asking him about a song we were currently writing. I figured I'd go and check on her seeing as Vic didn't really seem to care right now. I walked down the hallway and upstairs walking straight into her and Vic's bedroom as the door was still wide open "Deven?" I asked this was the first time I'd spoken to her properly in a few months because I was still hurt that she didn't care about how I felt towards her. She looked up and almost jumped out of her skin when she laid eye on me. She grabbed something from in front of her and hid it behind her back but I had already seen what it was so there was no need for her to hide it. I sat down opposite her on the bed "Dev? I saw what was on the bed, What's going on, are you pregnant. Are you and Vic having a baby?" It pained me to think that that was what was happening, especially since vic had said she wasn't very well. She looked up at me her eyes were glazed with tears "I am pregnant yes" she announced and I tried my best to give a genuinley happy smile "Well that's good isn't it? you and Vic starting a family is great news for the both of you" she smiled at me
