Turning Back..

Chapter 3

We were back home in San Diego and the heat hit me hard, just like the first time I came out here. I sighed as I wheeled my suitcase up the driveway of our house. I walked inside after unlocking the door and walked into the kitchen finding a note on the table 

Hi guy's, We hope you guys had a great time in England, the house has been fine as you can see and Marie misses her Auntie Deven and Uncle Vic so call us as soon as you get home and we will come over to see you. Kacie, Mike and Marie x

I smiled at the note and pulled my phone out of my pocket dialling Kacie's number "Kacie Hi it's Deven"

"Deven, hey are you guy's home?" 

"Yeah we are, come over!" I put the phone down and opened up Vic's suitcase and dumped all of his clothes into the washer so he at least had clean clothes for tour. I turned the machine on and turned to Vic who was sat at the kitchen table on the phone to someone. He put the phone down "Who was that?" I asked wondering why on earth he suddenly looked as pale as a ghost

"Oh, just my manager" I raised an eyebrow at him "Is Mike coming over?" I nodded as the doorbell rang and Vic shot up going over to answer it. I shook my head at him before I saw Marie walk into the kitchen "Auntie Deven!" She squeeled, I wrapped her up into my arms "I missed you" I kissed her cheek and settled her back down on the floor she was almost five now. I walked over to the doorway to see Vic, Mike and Kacie discussing something, Kacie flicked her eyes to me and the confused look that was spread across her face turned into a huge grin before she made her way over to me shoving me back through the kitchen doorway "Deven! It's so good to see you!" I smiled as she wrapped her arms around me "Did you have a good time in England?" she was smirking at me becuase she knew I had been moaning about it to her the day before we left and I think she could tell I had ended up having a brilliant time. "It was amazing Kacie you wouldn't believe" she awed and then picked up marie who was pulling at her dress "So what were you guy's talking about before?" I asked refering to the fact she looked confused when speaking to Vic and Mike

"Oh they are just getting stressed out over band stuff, honestly it's nothing to worry about" I bit my lip "Well what kind of stuff?" she shrugged before saying

"Oh no, just something about the album release date er maybe needing to be be pushed back" I nodded before changing the conversation "Well are you all packed for tour?" I asked her 

"Yeah, I need to head over to Vegas to drop Marie off at her Dad's" 

"Is she not going with you then?" I asked looking down at Marie. Kacie sighed 

"Well I can't leave her with you, especially since you'll be working all of the time" I sighed

"You do realise my parent's live only a few blocks away and they could have her in the day when I'm working, won't Ronnie be touring over the fall, his band usually do" Kacie sighed 

"Well there was that, but I was going to come home for the month or so he was away for, I guess Ronnie could drop her off here before he goes next month" I nodded

"That's fine, please do that, I don't want you to have to come away from Mike. Plus you deserve some time off, you are always on your feet with Marie" she smiled at me and hugged me 

"Thanks Deven, it means a lot, I'll call Ronnie and let him know" I watched as she walked out of the room.

Vic's POV--

"Mike what the hell are we meant to do?" I asked him as Kacie went into the kitchen with Deven "I mean it's not like I can just say, oh yeah and by the way Tonight Alive are supporting us on the collide with the sky tour" I stated, I had cheated on Deven with Jenna in the past and I hadn't spoken to her since then... Deven hated her more than anything and I wasn't prepared for this at all. Mike sighed
