Chapter 18

The next day came quicker than I anticipated "Ok well I guess I'll see you soon then" I hugged Ronnie and then went over to Jacky who gave me the biggest squeeze he'd ever given to me "You'll be alright Deven, I know you better than anyone and I'm right here if you need me got it?" I smiled at him "Thanks Jacky, you're the best" he placed a kiss on my forehead and I then followed Kacie over to her car and we headed back to SD.

It was silent for most of the journey until we drove by the turn in for her house "Wait where are we going?" I asked Kacie. She bit her lip

"The guys are playing a gig tonight at the house of blues" I groaned loudly 

"No! You can't just throw me in front of them all like that, do they even know I'm coming back" she shook her head "No, if I planned it they'd all be on edge, just throwing you into the mix is more entertaining anyway" I smirked at her. She loved drama and tonight was definitley going to be dramatic. We pulled up outside of the house of blues and my heart was almost pumping out of my chest. She grabbed Marie from the backseat and I got out placing my handbag on my shoulder and following her inside the venue. The last time we were at a PTV show was when I found out that Vic had slept with Jenna again and it was at this exact venue. I shuddered at the thought and as we both turned the corner I came face to face with Vic's parents. My blood ran cold, there was no doubt that they knew what I had done, surly if vic hadn't said anything Mike would have let it all drop at the dinner table. Surprisingly there was nothing, his Mum pulled me into a hug. I wasn't doing a very good job at hiding my bump in the tight jumper dress I was wearing so as soon as she pulled away from me I hid behind Kacie as the two of the began to faff over Marie. I suddenly caught sight of Jaime's spikey hair and I made a dash around the Fuentes parents to him. I could hear Kacie calling me, probably because she didn't want anyone to know I was here yet. I wrapped my arms around Jaime and he jumped at the sudden grasp I had on him "Deven! What are you doing here?" he pulled away from me and looked me up and down "I just got back from Ronnie's with Kacie" he smiled widely at me "I didn't think you were even going to come back" Kacie approached us 

"It took some persuading but I got her here eventually" Kacie announced as she stood with Marie "Look Hime, don't tell the others she's here" Jaime shook his head at her 

"Well ok, if you say so" Jaime looked a little nervous "The show starts in like 5 minutes so I should go" he gave me one last hug and then sprinted down the corridor and around the corner

"Come we will stand side stage" I raised an eyebrow

"I didn't think you wanted them to know I was here" She smiled

"They go on stage on the other side, see?" she pointed to the opposite end of the stage where the guys were all stood. I watched as one by one they all ran out and then my eyes fell on Vic and his fell on me as we looked at each other from across the stage. My heart broke in two as I looked at him. Kacie grabbed my hand and squeezed it tightly "see, he's looking at you" I shook my head at her and looked away as Vic ran on stage. I'd been so strong without him, When I was out in Vegas it was as if everything was ok, but now I was here in front of Vic it all came flooding back. I loved him. I loved him alot more than I thought I did. 

The set was coming to an end and I watched intently as Vic silenced the crowd "Now, this song is a new song I wrote for my wife" my breath caught in my throat "A lot of shit has happened over the past few months, I found out she's not the person I thought she was this song goes out to her" he turned his head and his eyes fell on mine and he shook his head as the piano tune started to play "This one's called.. Stay Away From my Friends" I stood there motionless and Kacie was staring at me, I could feel her eyes piercing through my skull.
