Turning Back..

Chapter 25

Deven's POV--

Home time, I was so glad to be getting out of this hospital, Ronnie, Jacky and Ryan whom I hadn't seen in a long, long time were apparently coming over this afternoon, well going over to Mike and Kacie's. Jaime brought the car seat carrier in and I lifted up Rowan and strapped him in "Are you ready? We're going straight to Mike and Kacie's Ronnie and the other's are already there" I nodded as Jaime lifted Rowan's car seat up off of the bed and held his hand out to me, I took it and weakly smiled at him as we headed out to his car. Now that Rowan had been born my feelings towards Jaime had changed completely, I did want to be with him and have a proper family. I sat in the back seat with Rowan who was sleeping. "Jaime I'm nervous" I announced as we pulled up on Mike and Kacie's driveway "Vic's living there still right?" Jaime nodded

"It's not Vic you should be worried about, it's Mike" I sighed "He can't seem to drop things even though Vic has, or at least I think he has" I got out of the car and lifted Rowan out of the car seat he was just over a week old now, still so small. I pulled out the changing bag and placed it over my free shoulder and headed up to the front porch with Jaime, I knocked and then Kacie appeared wrapping her arms around me "Yay, you're out, how is he?" she asked as she pulled Row's little hat over his ears "He's so adorable, can I have him?" I shook my head "Well can I at least look after him when he's a little older, he can have play dates with Marie" I smiled

"Of course you can" she opened the door and allowed me and Jaime to walk in 

"Everyone's in the living room, Jacky and Ryan just went out to get us all some snacks and stuff" Kacie walked down the hallway and I followed behind her and Jaime. We got to the living room and I went and sat down on the couch next to Tony, Jaime sat next to me and Kacie sat down in front of us on the floor with Marie who was playing on her DS. "Deven, you look great!" I smiled widely at Ronnie "Really? I gave birth a week ago I'm so tired all of the time" Ronnie chuckled, my eyes drifted to Vic who was smiling at me and I didn't know whether it was because he was happy to see me and the baby, or if he was just trying to be polite. Ronnie came over and squeezed in next to me and Jaime "You called him Rowan right?" he asked looking down at him, I nodded and handed him to Ronnie "He's definitely got Jaime's eyes" I completely agreed, he was definitely going to look like his Dad. Ronnie stood up with Rowan and took him over to Vic which was probably a silly idea but Vic smiled as soon as Ronnie handed him to him and it made my heart ache so much. I wasn't 100% over him but I was over him enough to move on and I knew what I had to do "Jaime?" I turned to him "There's something I want to ask you and I know it might be a weird time to ask you this now but-" he interrupted me 

"Is this something you want everyone to know?" I thought for a second "Because we can always head out back?" I nodded "Hey, Mike is it ok if we head out back? I just need to speak to Dev" Mike looked at us for a short moment and then nodded slowly as he got up, I looked to Vic who was still holding Rowan "Vic? Are you going to be ok with him for a minute?" he looked over at me and smiled "Sure, congratulations by the way" I smiled at him 

"Thanks Vic" I followed Mike and Jaime out of the room and towards the backdoor in which Mike unlocked "Here's the key, lock it when you come back in" he handed the key to Jaime and opened the door before going back to the living room. "Is everything ok? because if you are uncomfortable we can just head back to the apartment" I shook my head at Jaime and started to laugh at the concern that was struck across his face "Jaime, I couldn't be better" he smiled at me 

"I'm glad" I suddenly felt it would be strange to ask him if he wanted to be my boyfriend... but I shrugged it off and grabbed his hands in mine "I was just thinking you know now Rowan's here and well, I want us to be a proper family and well since he's been born my feeling towards you have changed a lot and what I'm trying to say is" Jaime started to laugh at me and he pulled my face up to his and connected out lips in a passionate kiss, I kissed him back and smiled into it. When he pulled away he was grinning at me "of course we can be a proper couple Dev" I smiled
