19. "So, what are you waiting for?"

Harry’s POV

I can’t believe she said ‘yes’ just seconds ago. I feel like the happiest man on the planet. I wouldn’t be lying if I said this was the best moment of my life. I can’t describe the feeling I got when she looked me in my eyes and accepted. Oh, did this really happen?

“What do you wanna do now, do you have any special wishes?” I asked her.

“I just want to be with you, while I can.”

“What do you mean, while you can?”

“I have to go back soon, remember? I have work to do.”

“Stay here till the end of the tour.”

“I can’t I must earn enough money so that I can pay for school.”

“I’ll pay for it.”

“I don’t want your money.”

“Katie, I’d be more than happy to pay for it, trust me.”

“I know. But… Can we talk about this tomorrow?”

“Sure.”

My phone just started ringing. I pulled it out of my pocket. Christopher!? What now? I’m not going to answer, I don’t want to ruin this moment.

“Why aren’t you answering?” Katie asked me after almost a minute of ringing.

“It’s Christopher.”

“Pick up, or else he won’t stop.”

Why right now? What does he want? Damn.

“Yes?”

“Harry what are you doing? What’s wrong with you?” he started shouting in the phone. “You know must be the first ones to know what’s going on.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I interrupted him.

“Don’t act dumb. I know what happened a few minutes ago. How dare you?”

I took a few steps away from Katie, I didn’t want her to hear what was going on.

“Immediately, Harry do you hear me. Break up the engagement immediately! RIGHT NOW!”

How did he find out? Oh, sure. I know, I figured it out. Natalie was sitting on a bench nearby. How could I not spotted her sooner? She obviously followed us and told him what was going on. If only she knew how much I hate her.

“HARRY! Did you understand me?”

“I did.”

“So, what are you waiting for?”

“I don’t know.” I said and hung up.

I’ve had enough of him. I’ve had enough of everybody.

Katie’s POV

I approached him.

“What happened?”

“He wants me to call off the engagement. Natalie saw us and immediately let him know.”

“Natalie?”

“Yes.” he pointed in her direction. “She’s right over there.”

“This is not meant to be.”

“Sure it is. I’d never do something like this. I don’t care about them. Let them talk and think what they want, but no matter what I’m not backing out.”

“Neither am I, Harry.”

He picked me up in his arms and kissed me.
