It's approximately midnight when a tired, yet extremely happy Joshua stumbles into his cozy Ohioan home, finding it dark, except for the television that was eliminating light in the living room. He enters slowly to hear Sing Sweet Nightingale playing. He steps in only to find Tyler watching Cinderella on the couch with a blanket draped over him and a bowl of popcorn in his lap, smiling softly as he watches. Joshua leans against the doorframe, a fond smile on his lips. Tyler doesn't seem to notice, though, his chocolate brown eyes trained on the screen.

It's dark, yes, but Joshua could see Tyler so clearly. His hair is a mess – a beautiful mess. His eyes are droopy and sleepy, but still bright and happy. His frail body is curled into the blanket. He looks like a kitten, Joshua thinks. Yes, his kitten.

"Why isn't my princess asleep?" He calls out. Tyler finally notices his husband standing against the doorframe, his blazer off, and his tie loosened, his white button down a little unbuttoned. Tyler can't help but blush at the sight

"I was waiting for my prince, of course," he replies with a silly tone, his dimples prominent. Joshua could hear the immense amount of tiredness in his voice.

"You should be asleep, Angel. You didn't have to wait for me, y'know." He says as he walks to the place where Tyler was laying, plopping down onto the couch. Tyler instantly finds his way into Joshua's lap, his head against Joshua's chest.

"I wanted to watch Cinderella. Plus, I can't really sleep without you, silly!" Tyler replied sleepily as he snuggled into Joshua more. Joshua is smiling so big now, his heart fluttering like he was 18 again – like the first time he had met Tyler. The movie was now white noise; they felt as if they were in their own little world.

"Should've came with you, Baby. I couldn't stop thinking about dancing with you. Showing everyone you're my prince charming," Tyler whispered. "I'm so proud, bub. So proud of you."

"Thank you, my love," Joshua replied as he ran his fingers through Tyler's wild curls. "It would've been amazing with you there. But the rules..."

"I know. At least you're here now," Tyler sits up from Joshua's grasp. Joshua is still smiling, his hands moving from Tyler's hair to his cheeks. He pulls Tyler in to peck him on the lips once, twice, three times until he molds his lips into Tyler's, humming softly. Tyler's hands moved the bowl of popcorn away, and he held Joshua tight, thumbs rubbing circles into Joshua's hips. They pull away, foreheads against foreheads, smiles on their lips. Joshua then stands up from the couch, and extends his hands out too his husband.

"May I have this dance, my love?"

Tyler's soft chuckle filled Joshua's ears as he watched Tyler grab his hand, nodding softly. He pulled the boy close, hands on his hips. Tyler's hands entangled into the hair on the back of Joshua's neck. Despite the height, Tyler nuzzled his head into Joshua's neck as he heard him sing:

When your legs don't work like they used to before, and I can't sweep you off of your feet,

They swayed together, Ohio lights filling the windows, the movie playing softly in the background. Joshua rubbed his hands under Tyler's white cotton shirt to embrace Tyler closer. Tyler hums in happiness against Joshua neck, placing a kiss there.

Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love? Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?

Joshua sang softly, his voice remaining sweet and slow during the whole time they danced.

They didn't need the music.

They didn't need the lights, the suits, the fancy ballroom.

They just needed each other.

And that's how they always want it to be.

Because of course, what's a prince without his princess?
