Beloved

I know.

The feeling you get when your worried. The gnawing sensation in your stomach making it's way up, up, up, deeper, deeper, deeper.

I've been there.

The rock in your throat that is impossible to swallow, slowly choking you from the inside out. Your voice, now broken and rough, making you inaudible to everyone around you.

I understand.

The headaches you get when your frustrated. The redness of your face when there is absolutely n o t h i n g you can do this time.

I remember.

The tears that burn as they gather up in your eyes, transforming the world to just a blur. The breath you hold, begging them not to fall out and run down your cheeks, drip off your nose, ruin your makeup.

You're not alone.

The silent scream you make into your pillow in the dead of night. The only one who will keep your secrets safe is you.

I know...

Your heart is breaking, cracking, shattering into a million pieces and getting trampled on the floor, crushed into dust that is slowly blown away.

Everyone around you doesn't notice or tells you that,
you're fine
you're okay
you're not falling apart.

But you are, aren't you? At least that's what it feels like.

Chin up, princess, or the crown slips.

You are better than this. You're worth more, capable of more than what you think, beloved.

You can do anything in the world.
Anything
at
all.

Nothing can stop you because your God is behind you and nothing is moving your Father to a different spot. He's not leaving you. He'll never abandon you.

He whispers in your ear, telling you not to worry. He's got this handled.

He looks into your eyes and sees you, letting you know that He hears your every cry. Even your g r o a n i n g s are heard.

He soothes your pain, giving you a way out. He tells you that He always has a way to fix the things that get broken.

He wipes every tear that escapes your beautiful eyes and treasures them. He calms you down and stays with you, always.

He notices you. He hears you. He keeps your secrets. He knows your fears. He will tell you what to do.

He witnesses your brokenness and heals it with His hands. He tenderly holds your heart and mends it. It is not dust. It is whole.

He turns your ashes to beauty.

You are a princess, my dear.

I know, because I am one too.
