She listened to all he had to say, not believing a single word, but letting him dig himself a deeper hole.

That was just it, though. She knew about the other girl. She knew about them all. But she couldn't lose him. She refused to let him go. If only he saw what they had in the beginning. He spent hours with her, trying to catch her. He planned whole days with her, made her blush, and made her desire him. She was the only one he used to look at. Then, when he finally caught her, it all went downhill. It was as if he only liked the thrill of the chase. Once he finally got the girl, he didn't want the girl. She knew that wasn't how it was supposed to be. She couldn't make herself let go.
But she knew everything he did. He was not as good of a liar as he thought. He actually was a terrible liar. But he held onto her heart so tightly, it was agonizing. She would come whenever he called. She would do whatever he told her. She wanted to believe everything he said. But she was smarter than that. She bit her tongue, not saying a word when he would lie to her. He stood right in front of her, with the best poker face, but his voice shook. She listened to all he had to say, not believing a single word, but letting him dig himself a deeper hole.
One day, when he loosened the grip on her heart, she would push him in the hole he dug himself. That was her plan, but she never got to do it. She never got to accomplish her goal. Life happens. Situations change. And the next thing she knew... she was gone and he dropped her like a rock. And for a while, she sunk. She didn't even try to live. She was completely broken; completely shattered.
And
All
She
Could
Do
Was
Keep
Breathing.
But she didn't even want to do that.
It was like when you glue two pieces of paper together and then pull them apart. She was torn. She gave away her heart to someone who stomped on it. And what she got back was a garbled mess. Ripped to shreds. Cold. Dark. Broken.
Nothing made sense to her anymore. Everything was blurry. She was delirious. Her tear ducts finally broke and for a long time she just say there silently, staring at the wall. That feeling you get in your stomach, your throat, your entire body, consumed her.
She
Felt
Useless.
She
Felt
Like
Dirt.
And slowly.... S  l  o  w  l  y  she became okay. At first it was one day at a time. Maybe an hour would go by before she thought of it. Then a day. Maybe a week. And then she is strong.
But she was still missing something. She wasn't complete. Her heart was still beating, but she has no life.
And then she met Jesus.
And
Everything
She
Had
Ever
Known
Changed.
She was whole again. He healed all her brokenness. He loves her through the pain. He treasures her above all else.
And
Everything
Was
Okay.

Hiiiiiiii.! I don't really have anything to say. *waves*
