Write about a character that falls in love with the reader.
Ohhhhh, this will be fun. *cracks knuckles* Challenge accepted.
Oh, thank goodness. Someone finally opened up the book.
Yes... The book that you are holding in your hand.
Of course I'm talking to you. Your the one reading this aren't you? You picked up this book (or opened it on your screen). You are now reading the words that I am speaking.
Who am I? Why, I'm the character, of course! I'm the main character of this book... I guess the only character in this book.
But I'm so glad you came along, because I'm terribly lonely. You wouldn't believe how depressing and empty these pages are. Seriously, you would think the author would be smart enough to write me a lover or at least a best friend. I would even be happy with a mother or father to talk to. A sister might be troublesome, but I would deal. A brother would be acceptable. But the author, I think she's a girl, has left me alone.
But you... You are stunning. Beautiful. Handsome. I love looking at you.
Yes! You, the reader! How many times do I have to tell you this? I'm talking to you!
Why can't you see me? Well, obviously I'm a book character... Unless the author adds a picture of me, you wouldn't be able to see me. I will look like however you imagine me to be. I'm just happy to have someone to talk too.
My name is Dakota. But that is all I will give you. I will, though, tell you the story of my life, starting at the beginning.
At first, there were only parts of me. I was brainstorms scribbled on paper, or my author's hand or next available body part if she was desperate. I would be here one day and changed the next. I was having an identity crisis those first beginning weeks! Everything about me would change back and forth. One day I liked dogs then I liked cats better, but then she wanted me to be different, so I loved chinchillas.
For future references, I'm back to being a dog person.
My author made me desirable. She made me romantic and cocky and playful and bold. She made me brave. She made me smart. Of course, then she realized that a person like that was too unrealistic, so now I'm only playful, smart and a little brave.
We had a few arguments over that decision. She won, obviously.
Then, once I was fully developed, she begin to write about me. But she didn't add anybody else to the story. That's how I ended up here, in this empty book. She has forgotten me. I'm stuck here, forever.
No! No! Don't leave! Don't close the book! I enjoy your company! I need a social life!!
Sorry about my outburst, dear reader. I just... I'd like it if you would stay a bit longer. You are stunning to look at. Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself?
Ohh. That is interesting. Tell me more.
Haha. I do like you very much. What's your name?
I like that. It's a wonderful name.
Ahh. The last person to open this book didn't like me very much. Oh, but I adored him. He was a nice little guy. He read me till the end, but he never came back. That was a few years ago.
What?
You have to go?
No. No. Please. Don't go, stay.
But I love you.
It is not impossible! Nor is it cheesy! I do! You have listened to me ramble on and on and I love you for it. Don't go! Please.
Okay, I understand.
But wait, just a moment. Will you read me again, sometime soon? We can start over and I can fall in love with you all over again.
Thank you.
Goodbye, my love. I know I will see you again soon.
Someone should actually write an actual book like this. I would totally read it. I couldn't figure out if I wanted the character to be a boy or a girl so I gave it a name that could go either way and so on. I don't like hard decisions, okay...?

WRITERS BLOCK
RandomThis is where I will put the completely random, has nothing to do with anything stories that I create when I have writers block. I'll put out a stick (or two or three) and write based off what the stick says. Please don't judge me... :)
