There was a girl

A beautiful brown haired little girl who was loved by so many. Cherished. Free. Normal.

There was a girl

Who started to act different. Strange. Who scared her parents, confused them. And it only got worse.

There was a girl

Who was deemed too much for her parents to look after at the young age of seven. One who sang to herself in the room they placed her in, never calling it what everyone knew it really was. Asylum.

There was a girl

She was asked, "Wasn't the world more beautiful when you were innocent, trusting?" And she replied, she responded with a blink of her dulled emerald eyes.

There was a girl

Whose mind was an ocean and thoughts were crashing waves, drowning her. Who was madness and sanity rolled into one. Who could make you think you were daft.

There was a girl

Who grew up alone except for the voices in her head and the medication forced upon her. Who, at the age of twelve, starting rocking herself to sleep.

There was a girl

Her ravishing beauty and periods of normality made you fall in love. But she would always go back. Always build her walls up so high only the crazy would climb them. Only she would climb.

There was a girl

She was worth all the chaos she brought but nobody seemed to realize it. She was slowly deteriorating and without intervention, would cease to exist.

There was a girl

Who, at the age of seventeen, told the psychologist, "I don't need to be saved, I need to be loved." Who described a love so passionate , so fake, so made up in her own self, she was again deemed too much to handle.

There was a girl

She battled against her own thoughts. She was lost inside the maze of her own mind.

There was a girl

who only wanted to go home

I don't know what this is really, it just came to mind, I got a song stuck in my head and I was reading a book and then I got this idea of a girl... So yeah. Tell me what you think., Please ❤❤
