what did she say

What did she say when you walked up to meet her?
What did she say when you hugged her? Did you give her a chaste kiss on the cheek too? Did she wonder why it wasn't on the lips?
What did she say when you told her to sit down? Was she nervous? Oblivious? Scared?
What did she say when the realization dawned on her? When she knew exactly what was coming next, what was ending.
What did she say when you were finally able to utter those words? Its. Over. I'm. Done. No. More. Us.
What did she say?

Was it physical speech? Was she actually able to form words? Was there a "Hey baby!" " How are you doing? " "What's going on?"

There's more than one way to say something right?

So was it a verbal? Or could you read her like an open book? Who are we kidding, you always could read her so easily....

But did her face fall? Her smile, did it crash and burn? Her eyes, did they tear up? Did they overflow with salty water? Did her face turn red? Did her skin get that rash that it gets when she's extremely upset or stressed? You know, the one on her chest... You know her so well, so her physical reaction shouldn't faze you. What happened? What did her body say?

What about her insides? Her heart, did it shatter? Her mind, did it break? Her stomach, did it spasm?

Do you know the pain you've caused her? At least for today, for a little while, she'll be broken. At least for now, she'll be falling apart. Unraveling.

But she'll get better, you know. She won't always be like this. The things that you are causing her to do, to think, to feel, isn't permanent. No, she'll be okay. She'll be fine....
