"There is no way I'm changing my mind."

It leaked in slowly, without notice, without asking. Shadows creeped up the walls and footsteps creaked on the wooden floor, but still nobody saw a thing. It crawled into her head, her heart, her body and stayed there, making it it's gone and whispering softly to her. She accepted it. She didn't know what she was getting herself into. But still nobody noticed.
What was it? What stole that girl's mind? What snuck into her mind?
Loneliness.
It creeps up on you. It takes over slowly.

"Don't get any closer." She whispered in the dark. "Don't you dare move. I'm serious." She smiled widely, against her will, her teeth shining white in the moonlight.
"What? I'm not going to do anything. I swear!" He took a step closer, the gravel underneath his feet crunched.
"No. No, no, no." She laughed as he jumped forward and grabbed at her sides. "Stop!" She squealed.
He laughed too, determined to get her. "Come here baby, I just wanna tell you something."
"Liar!" She screamed eyes wide. She was enjoying this, but just a little. "Doooon't tickle me. Don't. Don't. Don't."
He yelled and tackled her, lowering her to the ground and pinning her down. He kissed her nose. "Gotcha." He whispered.
