Okay, so here's the deal. I'm trying (most likely failing) at describing colors without saying their name. Please comment to see if you can tell which colors are which. I'm describing the 6 colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) but I'm mixing up their order. ❤ Thanks... This was just a writing exercise for me.  😛

1) It's at the start of each day, rising from the ground. It's at the end of each day, descending from the clouds. It could be the color of a sticker, a wall, or a shirt. It's sitting in your fruit basket, ready to be peeled. It's the color of fall, of leaves and pumpkins. It's not the most popular color, but at the end of the day, it's the most desired.

2) It's the color of your cough medicine. It's her birthstone, her ring. It's the color of spring flowers, light and dark alike. It's the color of his tie to match her dress for the dance. It's the color she writes with, her own little perk. It's the poster on his wall, her dyed hair, the dog's collar. It's the brand he leaves on her skin. It's the juice the child drinks each morning. It's deepest is at midnight, while it's lightest is a pale eyeshadow. It's a favorite of the colors, around, but almost never seen.

3) Its the color of life. The fresh trees, the wet grass. It's the vines that crawl up old walls. It's the signal to go, go, go. It means your accepted, that everything is okay, there's nothing to worry about. It's healthy, what kids don't want to eat. It's one of the important ones.

4) It's the happiest color. The color of summer, of swimsuits and umbrellas. It's the big ball of light in the sky. It's what we used to color the skin in our drawings of people. It's the smiley faces. It's on our stoplights, telling us to slow down. It's caution. It brightens a room, it brightens your smile. It's the color a little girl would paint the kitchen floor.

5) It's the flush of your cheeks on a cold day. Or the heat on your face in a moment of embarrassment. It's the color of her lips right after you've kissed her. It's the stain on the floor after you've bled out. It's a burn on your skin. It's an apple, a cherry, a strawberry. It's the color of her dress as you dance in the moonlight, it's what looks best on her. It's the roses on her dash. You see it everyday, all around you. It's the color of romance.

6) It's cold, the freezing, burning, cracking, breaking kind of cold. It's the color of his pen. It's what you use to paint the sky. The shades are endless from light to dark. It can be as deep as the ocean or as high as outer space. It's the color of his eyes that glow in the dark and shine in the light. It's the hottest flame, burning almost white. It's the tint of a bruise, buried within your skin. It's the color of your jeans, her nails, a house. It's everywhere you look. It can be found in the lowest of places and seen from the highest of points.
