Stick says: Love isn't a fairytale

I have a strong dislike for crappy romances. There's the "forever's" and "always's", the "I love you's" and "never leave me's". That's not how it works. Not every person is the love of your life. Your soulmate will not drop from the sky with roses and a    24-karat ring. Nobody on this earth will be there for you and love you and never leave you... always and forever. No, that isn't how love operates. The world is much crueler than that.
So all the stories, all the books, the songs and poems, are lies. Take Romeo and Juliet for example. They didn't know a thing about each other. They rebelled against their parents because they thought themselves in love. And so, based only on attraction, their love story begins... and ends a few days later.
To love someone takes more than a thirst for desire and a drama filled, passionate, tragic romance. There needs to be trust and respect and laughter. Girls shouldn't expect a prince to ride in on a white horse and sweep them off their feet. Most likely, it won't happen.
At least, I didn't expect it to happen to me.

Haha. A twist!
I'm still stuck with how to fix a problem I created in one of my other stories. I shall pull out another stick...
