Glasses

Your parents have always made you wear glasses. Then one day you forget to wear them and suddenly you can see something that no one else can.

"Don't forget your glasses!"

"Don't forget your glasses..."

"Oh! And do not forget your glasses!"

"Please remember your glasses."

"You need your glasses,"

James has always, always worn his glasses. He had not stepped outside his house without wearing them.

Ever.

In his home, he was allowed to take them off for sleeping and showering, and honestly..? He couldn't tell the difference. But fighting his parents on it was never good. So he obeyed like the good Lord says to obey your parents and he wore his glasses.

But soon he turned 18.

Soon James graduated and moved out on his own and you know what?

He forgot to wear his glasses.

Okay, okay, maybe he didn't quite forget but...

He didn't wear them, you see.

And life was pretty normal that morning. He walked to work like usual but about halfway there James saw something.

What was that? A shadow, a flash of color and a... well it looked like a bright green tail...

Woah.

James shook his head and rubbed his eyes.

Over the subway in downtown Philadelphia there were dozens of... Creatures.

They looked like dragons almost. They were insane colors. Bright pink and neon purple and lime green and electric blue! They were loud too! How could no one else be reacting to this?

They clawed at the top of the subway and crawled all around the floor, slithering their way through the crowd, never touching one human being.

How could James be the only one seeing this?!

He quickly called his mother, on the verge of a freak out. And the only thing she said was,

"Well, I told you to wear your glasses..."

Ahhh.! I couldn't think of anything else.! Lol.
Hey.! Does anyone read anything by Sarah Dessen?
Okay, so she writes some really good stuff but it's totally cheesy and romantic but also has some really good family stories too.
Well she came out with a new book and it's at Wal-Mart and I really want it.
Idek what it's about but I still want it.
And I want to know if I'm the only one... *squints* *purses lips*
