"Tell me a story." She whispered to him as they lay on the floor in her living room. Mama was in the kitchen. Daddy was at work. Her siblings were running around playing somewhere. The TV was on, playing some dumb game show. Everything was normal.
"About what?" He laughed, turning to look at her, but she was looking at their intertwined hands. With her other, she absent mindedly ran her fingers up and down his arm. She smiled, still not looking at him, only feeling the warmth radiating off his body.
"Hmmm, about a star." She said, giggling at the first thing that came to mind.
He sighed, thinking. "Okay," he shifted, moving his hand to under his head and looked up at the ceiling. "There was once this star..." He began.
She grinned, finally turning her head, watching as he spoke of a made up world.

"Tell me a story!" She squealed as they ran about, jumping from rock to rock, splashing in the cold river water. It was hot, the sun at its highest and brightest. Her dad watched at they laughed and tackled each other in the water.
"About what?" He yelled back to her. She jumped off the biggest rock, colliding with the water with a splash. When she popped back up, she squinted into the sunlight until she found him standing talk above her. He made a face that caused her to laugh out loud, then with a running start, he dived into the water. When he resurfaced , he swam toward her.
"About a dragon." She said quietly, the water moving around them.
He scoffed jokingly. "Uhh-" he went underwater again and came up a few feet away. Starting to swim away he called out over his shoulder, "There was once a dragon..."
She laughed, spitting water out of her mouth and swimming off after him.

"Tell me a story." She said angrily, sarcastic, as an attempt to hurt him. It did, her words pierced him through the heart. They were feet apart, standing alone in the middle of an empty park. It was dark, the night barely lit by the moon and the streetlights. He stared at his feet and kicked some gravel. She crossed her arms, her defensive position, her heart building up walls, staring only at him. He looked up with pain and she raised an eyebrow.
"About what?" He asked, his voice wavering in fear of it all being over, done, forgotten years down the road. She laughed sadly and wiped her face of tears and her nose of snot. He tried to take a step forward, wanting, needing to hold her, to comfort her. But she took a step back and a deep breath and said,
"About us."
Immediately, he replied with, "There was once these soulmates..."
She cried and ran into his open arms.

"Tell me a story." She asked as they drove home. It was a random day, a happy day. Kids in the backseat, God in their hearts, friends all around. It has been years since he heard the phrase leave her mouth. Years since they had played this game.
"About what?" He asked, not missing a beat. He had one hand on the wheel, the other holding hers. He looked over at her for a moment to find her already looking at him. She pursed her lips, rolling her eyes upward, thinking.
"About a bear." She said suddenly, nodding her head, proud d of her decision. The kids were interested now, paying close attention to mom and dad. Yeah daddy! Tell it! Tell it! She brought his hand to her lips as he laughed and nodded his head dramatically.
"There was once a bear..."
She gazed at him, though he was watching the road. And she knew. She knew that she never wanted to be any place else but here, with him.
Ahhh! Tell me if it's horrible?!

WRITERS BLOCK
RandomThis is where I will put the completely random, has nothing to do with anything stories that I create when I have writers block. I'll put out a stick (or two or three) and write based off what the stick says. Please don't judge me... :)
