Our world is divided into 7 lands. Equally split into 7 different societies, all tied together through the Great Alliance. 7 monarchies. 7 completely different consortiums. 7 crystal kingdoms.
Kingdom Quartz lies east. They have the most plentiful fishing and provide the most pleasant seafood to the rest of the kingdoms. King Quentin and Queen Alison rule with their heir, Prince Quentin II, almost ready to begin his reign. The prince has a set of younger twin brothers, Prince Aquilla and Prince Alec, and a little sister, Princess Aliena.
Kingdom Agate rest directly above them, almost completely north, but in a warmer climate. They have the best healers who mix herbs and possess the most adequate medicine and healing techniques. King Risdon and Queen Elaire are currently still the absolute monarchies, but their son, Prince Caiden, along with his wife, the former Lady Rowan, rule alongside them. The two younger royals, Prince Tristan and Princess Esmeralda, are very precise in their healing talents.
Kingdom Morganite lies directly west, giving them the tallest, fullest trees. Their land is mostly thick forests and mountains. Supplying logs is how they make their trade, but they also are fairly good at creating things out of them, as they have the most talented woodmakers. King Phillip reigns alone, his wife Queen Cecelia died giving birth to their third child, along with the new infant. Their eldest son, Prince Dorian, who adores his younger sister, Princess Celestia, will take over the throne once he marries the lady Aella.
Kingdom Tourmaline resides midwest. They have the richest soil and therefore, have the most farming. But they are also the most reserved. King Blakum and Queen Victoria are very distant and quiet, barley speaking up during matters of importance. Hopefully when their heir, Prince Wyatt, and his wife, Teagan, reign, they will have a different attitude. Though, Prince William and Princess Miriam are rumored to be quite modest like their parents.
Kingdom Aventurine is the coldest, most northern kingdom. With the people being quite outspoken rebellious, they still live peacefully. Their wildlife has the thickest furs and pelts and, along with those, they also supply the most delicate and expensive fabrics and dyes. Always in the latest fashion, King Ryker and his wife Queen Perla began his reign quite early when his parents were killed. With his siblings still underage, they are still living at the palace with him. His sister, Princess Lilah was actually firstborn but, as their law prohibits a female heir, the crown got passed down to Ryker. Second in line to the throne is the Prince Caspian.
Kingdom Jaspar is located in the most southern, hottest climate. Their land is filled with deserts and beaches, rainforests and ghost towns from before the wars. With such a vast demesne, this kingdom has not only one thing they specialize in. But they do have plenty of men. They provide protection through highly trained, ruthless soldiers. The King and Queen live peacefully in a small town while the heir Prince Eliseo and his fiancee, Lady Camreigh, get a feel for being the next generations monarchs. Their other three children, Princess Violetta, Princess Adele, and Prince Octavius, usually travel the kingdom together as the famous, public face of the royals.
Kingdom Epidote is a group of islands in the middle of the Western Sea. With the most exotic animals and sights and people, they are used for pleasure; vacations. They obtain delicious fruits and vegetables that are unavailable anywhere else. They also provide the most beautiful flowers. This is the only kingdom where the heir may be a female and luckily for Queen Isabel and prince consort Jacob, their firstborn child is the heir Princess Arlett, who, has found her own to-be prince consort, Sir Grayson. Her two younger brothers, Prince Killian and Prince Everett are carefree, glad to not be the most important, and free to do whatever they wish.
After the wars, when the 7 Crystal Kingdoms rose up again, all 6 kings and 1 queen met and agreed upon the Great Alliance. No more wars. Obviously not everybody would agree at all times but they were always held together through this agreement. It went into very specific details on what anyone could or could not do. And what tied them all together?
Marriage.
The firstborns, the heirs, married someone from their own kingdom, someone of their own choosing. But the secondborn? Thirdborn? Fourth? That's where the marriage alliances came in.
The kingdoms, as a law, change the bloodline of the throne every four generations. This way, there wasn't any incest. All during their lives, these second rate royal children grew up together. Every three weeks, they would all meet for an entire week in alternating kingdoms. From the time they were born, their marriage was arranged and kept secret, until the girl of the match turned 17.
The crystal kingdoms are all held together by the Great Alliance, but they are still very fragile. The smallest crack could shatter it all.
Hey! So I want to write a story based on this world I created. ^^^^^^ And I wanted to know if you thought it would be interesting. I would only have like three long parts to it that I would put on here, this one being the beginning. I'm going to do it, but I thought your opinion would be nice. :) Thanks!!
