Bandz and I were already at the Smith Towers early in the morning. I was ready to report for duty. He had spent almost his last to get me this dress. I appreciate him so much.
"Come, let me take a picture of your first day."
He pulled out his camera and took a picture. He would have to take them down to the photo shop to get them printed.I looked into his eyes and I saw so much love. I felt the love even in his hug and kiss on my forehead.
"I love you,Bandz."
"I love you too baby. Now be good and take care of yourself. I want you home tonight."
"Haha I will be home, angel. See you later."
"Pick you up at 5."
"Mwaah." I blew him a kiss and he caught it.There it was, first day. I walked into the Towers and saw Chantel.
"Good morning,Gwen. I will be training you as Mr.Smith's assistant."
"What about reception?"
"Charlote will fill in for me,infact there she comes."Charlotte was the same woman I found in Mr. Smith's office yesterday. She seemed so sure of herself; so overly confident.
"Good morning,Gwen." She greeted.
"Good morning."
"Where'd you buy that dress?"
"Oh some nice shop in town. My boyfriend got it for me."
"Oh. It's cute." She said sarcastically.I knew she did it to hurt me but I loved the dress. It was special to me. White with pink roses and just below the knee. That seemed beautiful to me.
Chantel walked me up to the office.
"Now usually, you arrive before Mr. Smith. When he enters, he wants his cup of tea ready. It's all done but all you have to do is pour it in the cup and make sure it's on the table." She said as she did it for me."I see."
"Then, usually he will tell you what to do but be sure to give him a report back of anything that happened after he left or of any appointments he has made."
"He leaves before me?"
"Yes, very much so. I think he's on his way. The tea is ready and he will take everything further with you. Be good, strongs for the day. Mwah."Chantel left and Mr.Smith walked in. I saw him look at Chantel's bum.
"Ah the gorgeous Gwen. How are you this morning?"
"Well thank you, sir."
"I see the tea's ready. She trains well, doesn't she?"
"She does, sir."
"I will go through this day with you slowly just so you can grasp the idea of what happens. For now, please file the documents from my second drawer in the cupboard, they are a mess."
"Will do, sir."
"And please. The name is John-Henry."I smiled and got to work. He left the office.
The papers were scattered all over but I was used to always clearing up so it was nothing to me.
He walked in while I was bending over and I jumped at his throat clearing.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you."
He smiled. There was something about him I couldn't put my finger on.
"Gwen, I have an office set for you. That is your personal space. I have a meeting in 30 minutes. Get ready to take minutes of the meeting."
"Okay."He walked out but turned around to say something.
"Gwen?"
"Yes, sir...?"
"Never mind, it's nothing. See you in 30
minutes in the boardroom."
"Alright."I carried on about my business.
