It had been a beautiful day at work for me. Nothing seemed to bother me. My fiancé picked me up from work and took me straight home. When we got home, there was dinner on the table and music playing. Grandma slowly walked up to kiss me.
"I heard the wonderful news, my girl."
"Oooh grandmama I'm so happy! He has made me the happiest girl in the whole world! The kitchen looks amazing."
"He did it all by himself." grandma said.It was good seeing grandmama this happy. It made her heart glad that I'm with Bandz. That made me even more glad than I already was. Bandz walked into the kitchen.
"You have had a long day,wife-to-be, now relax and let's have dinner." He pulled out the chair for me. I couldn't stop smiling. I was glowing and just when I thought my evening couldn't get better, there was a knock on my door.
"I'm coming in." The voice said.
It was Linda!
"Oh girl! How are you? It is so good to see you. What brings you here?" I hugged her.
"If you must know." she said as she pulled out a gift.. "A little birdie told me you're going to be a wife soon!!! Aaah!" She squealed.
"I know right !!!!" I exclaimed in excitement.
"I am so happy for you, girl I cannot wait! I cannot wait!"
"Why don't you join us for dinner?"
"Why not. I will sit right next to grandma. Hey grandmere you good?"I loved Linda. I appreciated her effort to be here. This was happiness. My grandma, friend and my fiancé chittering having fun, celebrating my engagement.
A slow ballad started playing on the radio. Bandz stood up and held his arm out for me.
"May I, Miss?" He smiled.
"Of course." I stood up and smiled at him.He held me so close in his arms and we slowly swayed to the music. It was beautiful.
Later on, Linda left and grandma went to bed. Bandz and I decided to have one last dance before bed. I could feel his strong arms around me. My man was everything I ever dreamed of. He smelled so good. His deep voice sent shivers down my spine.
He whispered "let's go to bed." He led me to the bedroom and closed the door. He gently threw me on the bed and laid me down. We stared into each other's eyes and kissed. It was a beautiful night.
At midnight, we had just finished making love. I lay with my head on his chest.
"Baby?" I started.
"Yes dear."
"Do you think it will be easy to have a wedding? I mean we barely have money to fix the house."
"Don't worry. We don't need a fancy wedding. Just a small ceremony to make it official. We will then sell this house and you can move into mine with grandmere. We can use the money to build ourselves and take care of ourselves."I fell asleep while he was talking but I knew I was determined to do whatever it takes to get my wedding going.
