Part 46- Grandmama meets everyone

I arrived at the mansion with my grandma. Anne was pleased to see her but grandmama sensed something offish about her.

"I don't like her."
"Grandma you will get used to her. She's actually nice.

I introduced her to Lisa and Sindy. She basically met everybody. She was part of the dinner and socializing but she wanted to rest early. I walked with her to the room prepared for her. I avoided taking her upstairs because I was thinking of her knee.

We walked into her room and I closed the door behind me.

"So, what do you think of them?"
"I don't know , Gwen. I think I will have to get used to them."

My heart sank.
"Grandma they aren't bad people. They are just of a different social class that we were never exposed to. It took time for me as well to get cosy around them."
"And that Lisa. Why can't she just get a humble man from downtown?"
"Oh no, not Lisa." I chuckled.
"Speaking of Lisa. Where is Linda? She is your friend, I thought I would see her here." grandma asked.
"Uhm...would you look at the time. You should doze off grandmama.
"Not until I know what happened to Linda."
I paused and came out with it.
"She and...."
"She and?"
"She and Bandz are together...Now..."
"I see... How do you feel about that?"
"Water under the bridge. It's life. I'm happy for them... Now if you'll excuse me grandmama." I walked out and took a deep breath.

I went back to the social to enjoy everyone else's company.
