I woke up the next morning next to my fiancé. He was asleep. I didn't want to bother him. He must have been really tired from all the flying. Last night was amazing at my engagement party.
I went to take a shower and dressed up. When I was done I grabbed my keys and kissed him.
"I'm taking a drive to the Country Club."
"Mhmm." He said.I had made new friends. Lisa and Sindy. Lisa was a divorcee. She had divorced one of John's wealthy businessmen friends. Sindy was still married. She was a housewife.
I went down to eat Christina's breakfast. I was beginning to feel bad that she goes through all that effort for me but I always pass it up. I sat eating breakfast when John walked in.
"Mrs. Smith to be." he said.
"Hey, thought you'd still be asleep."
"I need coffee. It's been a long night."
"Yeah. Well I am out." I grabbed the keys and walked out. I forgot my purse on the kitchen counter so I turned around to get it but something wasn't right.Something wasn't right about the way John kept looking at me. It was like he had a plan behind him but I just smiled at him and walked out into my new Merc and I drove off.
My driving skills were perfect. I was driving illegally but my fiancé would take care of that. I arrived at the Country Club, I swiped my membership card and off I went to Lisa and Sindy. To my surprise,Tiffany and Bethany were there too taking a swim.
"What are they doing here?" I asked.
"Oh, come on. We had fun with them so we got them membership cards." Sindy said.
"Who exactly pays for these membership cards?" I asked.
"Uhm..."
"Wow. You guys just stooped so low. So low to make my man pay for them?!"
"They are your sisters. Besides, what is a couple of thousand bucks to you and him?"
I shook my head.
"Hey baby sis!" Tiffany shouted from the pool.
I ignored her and turned to the ladies."So what's up."
"Not much. Girl have you picked a gown for our wedding?" Sindy asked.
"No...not yet...I will though."
"Well you better start ASAP. "
"I was thinking I would get a custom made one."
"Ooh yes must be nice when your man as money."
"I'm just thinking about it. I haven't made the move yet."
"Well. Make it with us." Lisa said.
"And you, Missy. Do you have a date for my wedding." I asked Lisa.
"Oh nobody."
"Don't lie. Mr.basketball player."
"Well...he is going through a divorce."
"He already IS divorced." Sindy said.
"Ah you ladies. I don't know. Should I?"
"I would." I laughed.
"He's fine as hell." We all laughed. The waiter brought our drinks and we continued to chitter and chat around. I had planned to go and surprise Bandz during the day. I wanted to show him that his lessons really helped me. I wanted to thank him.
"Ladies, I have to go. I kind of have somewhere to be." I stood up.
"The boutique I hope." Sindy yelled out.
I laughed and blew them kisses."My husband isn't paying for this." I said to my sisters as I walked passed them.
I went to the car and drove off to town.
I arrived into town and saw where I had my accident. I can't believe that it was me weeks ago who left the broken glass pieces.
I stopped the car outside my house in town and the doors were closed.
"Strange. He would have told me if he had decided to move back to his place." I said to myself.
I walked over the dry grass and made it to the door. I knocked and nobody answered. I stopped and gave attention to the sounds I was hearing.
I felt my tummy do bitter summersaults.
Bandz was making love to someone else. Was it him? Or did someone move in? Maybe it wasn't him. Let me not jump to conclusions.
The door wouldn't open so I banged it hard and forced it open.I followed the sounds I was hearing and they led straight to my bedroom.
I opened the door and what I saw broke me.
