As we go outside the restaurant the cold night air makes me shiver a little. The fact that it's been so cozy and warm when we were inside causes the sudden change of the temperature to be even more noticeable.

"Are you cold, princess?" David glances at me, but before I can manage to answer he's already walking towards his car. "Wait here for a second." He opens the back door and in a minute he comes back with something black in his hand. "I think this will help." He hands me a black hoodie and smiles when I put it on. "It looks so much better on you than on me." I'm instantly engulfed in his cinammon scent, letting myself to inhale it greedily.

"In that case, I might just keep it." I smirk.

"I was hoping you'd say that." He whispers, taking my hand and intertwining our fingers. I feel the familiar tickling inside me again. "Come on, I have a surprise for you." A mischievous grin covers his face as we start walking to the beach.

"It's my turn to ask questions now." I say after a few quiet minutes, looking at him when he smiles, nodding his head. "What is your biggest dream?" I say and he raises his eyebrows.

"And before you said that my questions were basic." I stick out my tongue at his witty comment, making him laugh. "I want to travel around the world. To have the chance to see new places, different people, cultures."

"What is your greatest weakness?"

"Isn't that a question for a job interview?" I give him an angry glance. "Ok, ok, I'm sorry! My greatest weakness in that overthink sometimes."

"Are you bad at something? Like really, really, awfully bad!"

"Dancing. It's like I have two left feet. Next?"

"Ummm... Do you have a favourite place?"

"I do, but it's a secret." He winks at me and I roll my eyes again. "Try harder!"

"Fine!" I stay silent for a second. "I have a good one! How come you don't have your camera with you tonight?" He smiles.

"Because I don't need it right now, so I left it in the car." He stops and stands before me with a serious face. "I just wanted to be with you." I instantly feel my cheeks getting warmer and lower my head a little.

"Gosh, David! You always have the right answer to everything, don't you? Do you enjoy making me blush?!" He tilts my chin up and I have no choice, but to look him in the eyes.

"I always say what I think or feel. And I always mean it." I try hard not to blush again. He lets out a loud sigh and looks around. Suddenly his face lightens up and he clears his throat. "Oh, my god! What is that?" He says in a fake surprised voice and points at something on the beach. I giggle a little and look at the same direction.

"David! It's amazing!" I gasp when I see a bonfire and two big bean bag chairs next to it. "But how did you... When... You were with me the while evening!"

"The guys helped me out." He shrugs. "Do you want to go there?"

"Oh, you bet I want!" He smiles and takes my hand. As we go further, I see a little coffee table beside the chairs. It has a pink box and two mugs on it. I stop and put my hands on my mouth in amazement. David wraps his hands around my waist from behind and puts his chin on my shoulder. I don't have to say that I instantly feel the tickling in my stomach again.

"Do you like it?" I raise an eyebrow at his quei.

"Do I like it?!" I turn around, so I can hug him and he immediately hugs me back. "I love it!" I whisper and feel his grip tightens.

"Also we have hot cocoa and cupcakes. Do you want to sit down?" I quickly nod and turn back around.

"But why are the chairs so far from each other?" I say, frowning a little and he smiles.

"I didn't want you to be nervous again." I cross my arms on my chest. "But I'll fix it right away." He says hurriedly, pulling the chairs closer to each other and making an enormous bean bag "bed". We grab the mugs and sit down. He puts his arm over my shoulders, pulling me closer to him and I rest my head on his chest. We stay silent for a while, just enjoying the moment.

"I have a question and it's a tough one." I lift my head up to take a sip of the steaming hot cocoa as he nods. "Why me?" I take a deep breath, waiting as patient as I can for his answer.

"What do you mean?" He seems confused.

"Why are you interested in me? I'm not like the other girls at school. I'm not popular, I'm not pretty. I'm boring, a little nerdy. So I just want to know... Why me?" He puts his cup down on the sand and looks back at me.

"Liza..." He lets out a loud sigh, taking my hands in his once again. "Ever since I first saw you at the park I haven't been able to take my eyes off of you. Even then I knew I was falling for you and I fall deeper and deeper every day. I've been thinking about you every second of every day. I've never would have imagined that I would have such strong feelings for somebody I don't even know. I think you are the most gorgeous, amazing and smart girl in the world. I like everything about you. The way you play with your hair when you're nervous, the way you blush every time I compliment you, the way you look at me, the way your hand holds mine, the way your body shivers a little when I wrap my arms around you. But most of all I like what you just described. The fact that you are not like the other girls, because you are just you." He sighs. "And I like you, Liza." I shyly look down at our hands.

"I like you too, David." I say quietly and look up, meeting his eyes. I feel that I can drown in them, but somehow I know that at the same time I'll be safe from everything bad. His words boost my self-esteem, giving me power and courage, I didn't know I had in me. "I want to try something. Do not move." I whisper and he nods, loor a little confused.

I slowly start leaning to him, my heartbeat fastening right away. He looks me straight in the eyes, his lips slightly curling upwards at the sides. At this moment I feel like my heart wants to jump out of my chest. I can feel his breathing quickening as I get closer and closer, his eyes moving from mine down to my lips. Suddenly he pulls me so I'm sitting on his lap, with my legs around him. He bites his lower lip as I gently place my hands on both sides of his face. When we are so close that our bodies fully touch, I stop, waiting for his reaction. If he thinks that I'll kiss him first, he is totally nuts.

"I've waited so long for this!" He whispers before he pulls me closer and press his lips against mine. The kiss isn't long, but it's soft, gentle and it's everything I've imagined it would be. Maybe even better. It's the perfect first kiss. When he slightly pulls away I look at him, questioningly raising my eyebrows.

"Is that all you've got?" I do my best to look disappointed and confused.

He's surprised at first, but then the smirk is back for a brief second before our lips smash harder than before. I feel the butterflies going crazy inside me as he deepens the kiss. His fingers run up my back and through my hair, sending electrifying chills all over my body. When we finally pull away breathless and look at each other I can feel something clicking in me. The new sensation is scary and exhilarating at the same time and I'm surprised to notice that I like it.

"Now what?" I say, sitting next to him, my legs still on his lap and my head resting on his shoulder. He stays silent for a few seconds and then looks up towards the night sky.

"The sky is clear tonight, so perhaps we can eat cupcakes and cuddle? And if we're lucky we might see a falling star." He looks at me. "What would you wish for if we see one?"

"More cupcakes?" I say and we burst out laughing. I snuggle closer to him, his arms wrapping tightly around me.

"I know it's cheesy, but this is perfect!" I say and he nods.

Who knew that I might actually like cheesy things!

An who knew that I would start falling... And I'm falling into deep, very, very deep dark waters.
