October 29th / Thursday

After the final bell and a quick stop to my locker, I make my way to the school's parking lot. As I step outside I see David sitting on the hood of his car looking at something on his phone. I can't stop the smile that appears on my lips as I start walking towards him. I'm almost halfway through the yard when he lifts up his head.

Even hidden under his favorite black baseball hat, I can see how his face immediately lightens up with a wide smile when he sees me coming. He quickly jumps on the ground and also starts walking. As we are just a few feet away from each other, he suddenly makes a couple of quick steps, his strong hands hugging my waist tightly and lifts me up in the air. I let out a loud squeak as he starts spinning us around, his head lifted upwards and his dark eyes bored into mine, gleaming with mischief.

"David!" I squeal again, making his grin even wider as he spins faster. "David, stop! I'm dizzy!" He carefully puts me back on the ground, earning himself a slap on the arm when my eyes stop spinning as well. "Why are you doing this to me?"

"Because I love the way my name sounds when you say it, princess. You know that!" I roll my eyes. "And maybe I want to hear it more often." His gaze tells me that he wants me to say it, but when I shake my head in response one eyebrow arches, challenging me. "Are you sure?" I nod. He smirks and lifts me up again. "Say it!" He shouts.

"No!" I giggle as he starts spinning slowly again, making me squeeze his shoulders so I won't fall. "I won't!"

"Liza, say it or else!"

"If you are tying to threaten me, the first thing you should know is that I'm not scared of you at all." I try to sound confident, but at the end my voice cracks a little. He doesn't seem to notice it, because he stops spinning.

"You are so going to regret this later!" He says and I gasp. Oh, no he didn't! Ok, bring it on, dude! He puts me down giving me a quick peck on the lips. "Come on, I have a surprise for you." He whispers leaning closer to me, his fingers finding mine. Then he backs away, sliding my backpack from my shoulder with his free hand and pulling me with him.

"What is the surprise?" I say as we get inside his car, but he stays silent. "Please, tell me!" He just smiles, already driving down the street.

"You won't be surprised if I tell you now, don't you think?" He looks at me and I stick out my tongue.

"At least you can tell me where are we going!" I say after a few minutes.

"My house." He simply says.

I swear my heart just stopped for a second. I've never been in his house. Hell, I don't even know how it looks. What if his parents are home? That means I'm going to meet them. I take a quick glance at my outfit and sigh with relief. Thank God, I'm not wearing sweatpants like yesterday. But what if they don't like me? My hands start sweating. I notice with the corner of my eye that David is looking at me. He puts his hand on my thigh, making little circles on it with his thumb. Nice try, but not enough to calm me down.

"Don't be nervous! My parents are at work, but you can meet my siblings if they are home." That's good to know. His thumb continues slowly circling on my thigh, his eyes still on the road. Then I realize that I don't know much about his family. Actually, I know absolutely nothing about them. But this mistake is easy to fix.

"How many siblings do you have?" I say and glance at him.

"Three. Two sisters - Sarah and Ester and the cutest little brother in the world - Toby." When he says their names, his face changes and a smile, that I have never seen before appears on it. I can easily say that he loves and care about them very, very much.
