I blink several times to chase the sleep away from my eyes. Despite the mild light creeping under the curtains from the lamppost outside, the room is dark. Which means that it's late in the evening and, as always, I've fallen asleep in the middle of the movie. My hand reaches out from under the blanket to cover my yawning mouth. If I remember correctly I left my phone on the night stand next to the bed. My hand continues the journey to find the phone, but stops in the middle of the way when I realize that a strange warmth, very different from the warmth of the blanket, is holding my body in a loose hug. Confused and still sleepy, my imagination starts coming up with variety of colourful and scary options of why the hell am I have the feeling like there is another human being sleeping beside me in my... Then it hits me!

David!

I finally remember that I have to simply look over my shoulder to see if I am right. My eyes are already used to the darkness so it will be even easier. Deep sigh escapes from my mouth when I see David sleeping peacefully next to me, his nose close to a few strands of my hair. How can someone look so breathtakingly good even in their sleep? Now that he's not wearing a hat, an unvoluntary smile creeps on my face as I have the opportunity to take my time and study his features up close. His smooth pale skin contrasts with the dark brown hair and eyebrows, his pink lips slightly parted which makes them even more kissable than ever. Before I could surrender to the urge to kiss the life out of him, I decide that it's better to not wake him up in the middle of the night. Maybe I can give him some more time while I sprint to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Nobody likes bad morning breath, am I right?! But when I try to slowly get up from the bed, the loose arm that is resting around my waist quickly pulls me back.

"Please stay a little longer." David murmurs behind me. I find the sound of his groggy morning voice insanely hot. "If you want to, of course."

"I do." I whisper back, not being able to hide my smile. He kisses the back of my neck, making me shiver from the touch of his lips against my exposed bare skin.

"Are you cold?" He smugly says, obviously perfectly aware that he's the only reason why I'm trembling like that. I decide to let this one go since it's so early in the morning and just slightly shake my head in response. "Do you know that you are the perfect size for cuddling. It's like you were meant to be in my arms. You fit so perfectly." His grip around my body tightens, causing my heart to start beating quicker and louder, my cheeks burning hot from blushing. Even with my back pressed to his chest, I know he is already grinning knowing the effect he has on me.

"David, can I ask you something?" I take the loud groan behind me as a "Yes". After taking a deep breath and a few seconds of mental preparations for what's coming next, I finally gather enough courage to continue with the next question. The question that haunts me day and night, that takes over my thoughts and dreams. "What are we?" He shifts a little behind me and I hear a sigh, but I still continue further. "We hold hands and hug, we've had an amazing date, we've kissed so many times, now we are cuddling..." His face pops up from behind me, his cheek pressed to mine, his head resting on my shoulder. "I just have to know are we together or this is just a..." I can't finish the sentence, because he covers my mouth with one hand and I turn around so I can look at him. The serious expression on his face frightens me, making me instantly think that with just one stupid question I ruined everything.

"I'm sorry, princess, but I thought it is pretty obvious and you already know exactly how I feel by now." His hand is still placed on my mouth, not allowing me to speak, so I just slowly shake my head. "Do you want me to say it? I must warn you sometimes you can't explain what you see in a person, but I'll still try my best, so you can understand what you mean to me." He pauses for a moment, probably thinking where to start from. "You are different, a little crazy and weird, kind of an outsider, but in the same time so good with people. But the people doesn't matter to me, because I can only see you. Liza, I'm helplessly in love with you since the first time I saw you. I'm in love with your smile, your voice, your eyes, your laugh, your body. I'm deeply and uncontrollably in love with all of you, Liza. And I don't know if I should even ask you at this moment, but would you like to be my girlfriend?"

I'm so speechless by the time he finihies that instead of answering, I simply remove his hand from my mouth. My hands hurriedly find their own way to the back of his neck, my fingers tugging onto his hair, making it more and more messy as our lips move in perfect sync.

"Is that a "Yes"?" He breathlessly says as we pull away, but I can react only with a smile. "Are you happy?" My smile widens even more. "If you are happy then I am happy too. Are you hungry?" I giggle and quickly nod. He smiles and gets up, reaching his hand towards me. "Let's go eat then." I grab his hand and he pulls me up.

A quick run to the closest drive-thru and a couple of hours later we are walking towards David's car with our bellys filled up with burgers and fries and our finger laced up together.

"Thank God I'm wearing sweatpants today! These cheeseburgers were so good." I say, extending the "o" to emphasize my satisfaction as David starts up the car. "Now what?" I quizzically glance at him and he gives me one of his dazzling smiles.

"How about we just go for a ride across the city?" He says as he drives off the parking lot.

"Sounds good to me." I say, reaching out to turn on the radio. "And speaking of sound... I absolutely love this song."

I start to sing loudly along with the singer and David laughs as he takes out his camera and points it at me. I turn the volume up, deciding to go all the way and give him a little show. Or otherwise, make a complete fool of myself. When the best part of the song comes I even include some classical Liza dance moves accompanied by lots of funny faces.

Run fast for your mother, run fast for your father
Run for your children, for your sisters and brothers
Leave all your love and your longing behind
You can't carry it with you if you want to survive

The dog days are over
The dog days are done
Can't you hear the horses?
'Cause here they come

"That was absolutely hilarious. You are so amazing!" He says, still laughing when the song ends.

"Thanks!" Despite the fact that I'm completely out of breath, I still manage to blush profusely. "But I was just messing around, it's not that big of a deal." Despite the fact that it probably looked like I was participating in an audition for the town's circus or at least in a very bad karaoke concert.

"No, I'm serious. You have to make a video about it. And I can be your cameraman again if you want to."  When he makes that suggestion, something click in my mind, making my eyes widen when I finally realize what he's saying.

"Do you still keep that footage of us from the time when we were in Target?" When he answers with a slow shy nod, I raise my eyebrows, curious to know more. "Do you have more than that?" He unsurely nods again before speaking.

"Define more!" Now an evil smirk appears on his face, which leads to me gasping loudly then hitting his chest.

"Why didn't you tell me before?" I try my best to not let the high-pitched panic voice to escape, but my attempt fails instantly and miserably.

"Actually, I did. Don't you remember? We were at Zane's party, in his parents' bedroom. I told you that I like to record every time I see something beautiful." He looks at me. "And now I have a lot more to film." He places his hand on my thigh, squeezing it lightly and I blush for the umpteenth time this evening when I remember him saying it.
