October 24th / Saturday

After arming every brain cell I own into working on it's maximum capacity which leaded to me writing for the last three hours, I finally finished the paper for Monday's English literature class. With severe pains in my right wrist, but internally very satisfied with the final result, I decide to give myself the prize I earned and deserved - the jar of Nutella that has been waiting for me in a cabinet in the kitchen downstairs. And just when I'm about to open the door to my freedom, already tasting the divine hazelnut goodness in my mouth I get a call from Gabbie. I love her, I really do, but she knows that it's not a good idea to stand between me and the Holy chocolate Grail ever.

"I'm so pissed right now." She sounds really angry when I pick up that I instantly forget  about the interruption, assuming her bad mood is Zane's fault.

"Why? What's wrong?" I open the door and head downstairs, the silhouette of a certain jar sill floating in mind and almost making me drool.

"What's wrong!?" She says sarcastically. "I haven't seen you whole week, Liza. You are always with David."

"No, I'm not! And also, I can say the same for you and Zane. Besides, you see me every day at school. Isn't that enough." I say, sounding way more defensively than I wanted to and she groans.

"You know what I mean. We are always with the boys and we haven't had time just for the two of us." Ok, I have to admit that once again she has a point. "So, you have 10 minutes to get ready, because we are going out for a girly Saturday evening." She squeaks the last two words, making me pull the phone away from my ear. I smile and take a look at the clock. It's 5:20 PM.

"Gosh, you should at least give me more time. I'm still in my pajamas." I say, now rushing back up the stairs and towards my room.

"Oh, Liza, we both know that you can be ready in even less than 10 minutes. Actually, now you have 8 left, so hurry up. You know I don't..."

"You don't like waiting! Yeah, yeah, I'm aware." I roll my eyes, finishing her sentence and in the same time rummaging through my neatly folded clothes. A stupid action which I'm going to regret tomorrow. "I'll be down in... Well, I guess in 8." I hang up and throw the phone on the bed.

I take off my pajamas and look through the clothes in the closet. She would probably drag me shopping again, so that means we are going to the mall. I take out a pair of jeans and a shirt and quickly put them on. Since my hair is already in a bun and I don't have time for doing something else with it, I decide to focus on the little brown bags under my eyes. A little foundation and mascara can do a wonderful job even if you're in a hurry. 5:27 PM. Wow, I really can get ready in less than 10 minutes. Impressive! I put my keys, phone and wallet in a small black backpack and for the second time in the last 10 minutes, head downstairs. As soon I step outside the house, I see Gabbie's car already parked in front of it.

"Girly Saturday night!" She shouts when I open the car door and I laugh, sitting next to her in the passenger seat.

"And where are we going?" I say and she smirks in reply. Does David teaches her how to torture me with these smirks, because I know that trick and I know for sure nothing good is going to happen next. Correction, nothing good for me.

"To the mall!" She shouts once again, making me cover my ears and then drives off, laughing at the pointy glare I give her.

"Can you please enlighten me and tell me why exactly are we here?" I say as Gabbie parks the car in front of the mall 20 minutes later.

"We need costumes for Halloween, duh!" When I look at her with my eyebrows in the middle of my forehead, she lets out an exasperated sigh. "Ok, fine. And maybe some other stuff."
