November 13 th / Friday

"So, what are you planning on wearing for tonight?" Gabbie asks, wiggling her eyebrows. I close my locker and we start walking towards the exit.

"Ugh! Is Zane having another party? You know I'm not really into these kind of stuff!" I sigh, looking at her, but she just frowns in response.

"What?! No! I'm talking about the dinner at the "Olive Garden", that you and David won at the Halloween party!" She says and I widen my eyes. "And there's my answer!" She points at my face with her index finger and shakes her head. "Liza, how could you always manage to forget about the important things?"

"I... I... I don't know! Oh, my God! No, no, no!" My hands start shaking uncontrollably, my knees feel weak, suddenly unnable to move. Hyperventilating. I'm definitely hyperventilating. "With my finally parents at home, I totally forgot! Oh, my God, Gabbie! What am I going to do? What am I going to wear?" I rest my back on the wall, sliding down and covering my face with my hands. Seriously, what is wrong with me?

"Liza, you are making an unnecessary scene. Please, calm down!" I feel Gabbie's hand on my knee and look at her through my fingers. "Why don't you come to my place later and I'll help you get ready?" She gives me a reassuring look and I slowly nod, removing my hands from my face. I take a deep breath before Gabbie helps me to stand back up and we start walking again, slowly than before. "I know you don't have many, but you have to bring all your cute and sexy outfits with you, because I don't think that we are the same size." She looks me from head to toe and points to herself, making me smile a little.

She always knows what to say to make me feel better. That's an awesome talent that for some weird reason I don't have.

"Ummm... Definitely not!" Gabbie says and I let a loud sigh, rolling my eyes.

She spent the past hour and a half putting my make-up on and now the torturing continues with her picking my clothes. If it was for me to decide the outfit would be simple - shirt and jeans. It's not like I'm going to meet the president or have tea with the Queen. But Gabbie's brain doesn't work like mine.

"This is the forth one! If you keep rejecting my outfits like that, I'll be forced to go out in my underwear!" I say, turning around and making my way to her bathroom to change.

"I bet that David would love it!" She giggles and I roll my eyes again, even though she can't see me. "Next! And hurry up, because he'll be here any minute." She shouts as I enter the bathroom.

I glance at the duffel bag on the floor. It's practically full with half of my wardrobe, so there's got to be something appropriate for a fancy dinner. I sigh and take off the dress I'm wearing, putting it on the side. I start digging in the bag until something catches my eye. I smile to myself as I pull it. After I put it on, I look in the mirror and my smile widens. It's that black strapless dress I've never had the guts to wear. It's simple, yet very elegant and sexy. I let my hair down and head to Gabbie's room.

"Yas! You're slaying it, girl!" She shouts, clapping her hands. "David is..." A loud honk, coming from outside interrupts her and she stands up, gasping. "... here! Thank God, I did your make-up first!" She runs to her closet and reaches for a pair of black stilettos. "Try these!" She throws them to me and I quickly put them on.

"Ha! They fit me! How do I look? It isn't too much, right?" I say, turning around.

She just nods and gives me a thumbs up. Another loud honk sounds from outside, making me grab my purse and jacket.

"Have fun, Liza!" I hear Gabbie shouting as I exit her room. I feel my heartbeat fasten with every step. But why this sudden anxiety overwhelm me? I thought that by now I wouldn't be as much nervous as I was on our first date for example, but my sweaty palms prove me wrong.
