David's POV

"Actually, I feel like partying." My eyes instantly shoot open, thoroughly studying her face to make sure I've heard right. I thought that Liza would want to just stay at home to rest after Ashley's unexpected visit tonight, but her answer catches me by surprise.

"I can't wait to see that!" My reply makes her to shyly look down and her cheeks to blush, something I've been dying to see again for so long. But the redness on them lasts for a brief moment before her face lightens up by a big smile.

"I bet you do!" Her voice sounds challenging, but I sense a little nervousness in it. "Oh, my God! Gabbie is going to kill me if the make-up is even slightly messed up! I'm going to freshen up first and then we can go, ok?" The small tinge of fear her best friend causes in her eyes is so hilarious that I have to do my best to supress my laughter. I could never understand how a girls' brain can switch from one topic to another so fast and easy, because mine surely doesn't work that way. "I'll be back in a few minutes!" She gives me a quick kiss on the lips before running up the stairs towards her bedroom and leaving me all alone, her sweet citrus scent floating in the air around me.

I decide that this is the perfect time for me to make a quick phone call. I take out the phone from the fron pocket of my pants, my fingers dial the number as fast as they can and after the first ring the person picks up.

"What took you so long! Do you know how long I've been waiting!" A loud, grumpy female voice roars from the other side of the line, making me instantly remove away the phone from my ears to prevent myself from going deaf.

"Gosh, just chill! I'll be there in a bit! Is everything ready?" I say quietly so that Liza won't hear me, still holding the phone away from my face.

"It's ready for almost two hours now, David! And I'm not in the mood for more waiting, so you have exactly fifteen minutes to get here. And if you don't show up on time, I swear I'm going home and never talking to you again! You've been warned!" The voice snaps angrily at me before the line breaks, leaving me with open mouth, stupidly staring at the phone in my hand. I think that I will never understand girls!

The sound of heels clicking on the second floor makes me look up just in time to see Liza standing on the top of the staircase. Just now I notice that she's dressed in the exact same light pink lace dress she was wearing at the first party at Zane's house in the beginning of the school year. If I wasn't feeling completely starstruck and speechless right now, I'm sure I was going to scream at the top of my lungs for the whole world to hear that this girl is mine.

When she starts going down the stairs her long wavy hair slightly bounces due to the seductive way her hips are swaying from side to side, which instantly makes me lose my mind. She looks like a dream come true, a living vision. The little smile playing on her lips and her sparkling hazel eyes only add more beauty to her already glowing adorable face. I always thought that people tend to overreact when they say that their heart skipped a beat when something extremely meaningful to them happens. But now I know it's true, because the second Liza stopped in front of me, her eyes locked with mine, my heart skipped not one, but at least three beats.

"I'm done. Are you ready to go?" She says, reaching for my hand and intertwining her small fingers with mine. The simple little gesture of affection fills my entire body with an intoxicating emotion, making me feel dizzy, almost like I'm drunk.

"You look gorgeous!" I ignore her question, pulling her closer to me. "Actually, gorgeous isn't enough. It isn't even close to what I want to say. I don't think that the word that can describe your beauty is even invented yet, but you are..." I close my eyes and take a deep breath, inhaling her sweet scent in my lungs and leaving the sentence unfinished. "I love you with all my heart, princess!" I whisper, opening my eyes and looking into hers.
