A week had passed which signified that Kian and the other players which entered the game the same day as him  already had to leave the village. It was also the time for them to chose the acadenies or organizations that they want to enter.

For Kian, the past few days after he created the first skill were spent to increase his level, gather enough Rune Stones, and also to increase his stats. Although he had classes, he still managed to squeeze a bit of time to play the game.

At the center of the village, an eight meter tall portal stood. It was made of a stone arc that released a screen of purple light. The moment a person stepped into this portal, they would immediately be teleported to a place they desired.

The players formed a line near the portal. Fhy and Warden stood ahead of them with smiles on their faces. They also handed forms of the available academies and organizations in the Gloom Faction. It was the same form that Kian receievd from Warden through a price.

It was quite obvious that a lot of players weren't informed about this and had a hard time choosing the places they want to enter. Moreover, they also didn't have enough money to enter the better organizations.

Some players however were already prepared already. Kian was excited as he stood in front of the portal.

These past few days, after a careful consideration, he decided to enter Shade Academy. His affinity for the Dark Element was quite high after all.

He once learned the other day when he miraculously managed to talk to one of the newbie players and then they came to the topic of Elemental Affinity.

The guy he was talking to surprisingly only had 30% elemental affinity for the Dark element and that was actually pretty normal. He didn't know how his affinity for the element was quite high but he thought that it must've been a glitch.

There were also other factors why he chose to study in this academy. First was his curiosity towards the academy. It was said to be the most nusterous of the three tip academies after all. Second, he only had two elements so it was better to go to another academy where the application of the dark elements were the best.

"Hey Kian!" a voice from a man sounded out.

Kian turned around to see Link, the guy from the other day which he managed to talk to.

"Hey Link! Done choosing? Where do you want the go? " he greeted the red haired guy with a small smile

Link smiled smugly at him at his question and then proudly said.

"Of course! It's to Hellfire Academy. The pay is 200 Rune Stones. I heard they teach more about combat and fire element there compared to the other academies. how about you?" Link grinned as he boasts his own choice.

"I want to study in Shade Academy" Kian scratched his head, not wanting to break the guy's snugness.

Link's smile froze and his eyes widened.

"What?! You're going to the Infamous Shade Academy?!" the guy couldn't help but exclaim.

The other players turned their heads around to see what was the problem before they went back to their own business.

"Yes. I'm already level 10 and also have 500 Rune Stones" Kian shrugged his shoulders as he nonchalantly said.

"Really, Shade Academy. Then, were going to be separated by quite a long distance huh?" Link grasped his chin as he fell into deep thought.
