It was early morning at Saturday. There were no classes but students who usually get up late are actually awake at this time and online. This is because of certain events that will take place at every organization in the whole world of Sylis.

Since the event would start at nine in the morning, Kian decided to stay in the practice room and try out the Battle Pet feature that he had been dying to use ever since yesterday.

"Of course!" he exclaimed and clicked the yes option.

Suddenly, an egg the size of an basketball materialized into the air. It didn't drop but it stayed hovering. It was coveted by black and grey tattoos which looked really weird.

"An Easter Egg?" Kian couldn't help but chuckle and tried to poke into the egg.

As he did so, the egg suddenly started to crack. It wasn't slow just like how a chick usually hatches. In just a few seconds, the egg was full of cracks and  black radiance peeked out from the broken areas.

Finally, the eggshell dissipated into motes of light revealing a large but slender feline creature. It had two large round eyes with pupils as dark as the night, a black mane and two tails. It's fur was the combination of the colors of black and grey.

Kian stared at the creature with wide eyes. Although it looked quite strange, it was definitely cute. A strange feeling of wanting to crush the creature into his chest sprouted from his heart.

"Hello Boss!" the creature which was like a male feline suddenly spoke and encircled him in the air.

"W-wah!" Kian was shocked that he unconsciously backed away.

The creature grinned when it saw his reaction and rubbed its furry head into his hand.

"A cat?" Kian was surprised. He was expecting a cool and scary monster since he was a Gloom Warlock but to think it would actually be this cute.

"It's your fault Boss. My appearance is the product of your personality. Basically, it is you who decided how I appear." the creature explained.

Kian groaned as he realized what his Battle Pet's appearance meant. Did that mean that his personality was cute? Or was it because he was shy? Maybe it was because short!

All sorts of thoughts came to his mind that he didn't notice he was already petting the cat's head too hard until it tried to break away.

"You, what's your name?" he asked as he let go of the cat.

It shook its head and looked at Kian with its big round eyes.

"I don't have one yet. Give me one" it said as it plac

It requested and continued playing placed a paw on Kian's feet.

Kian turned quite when he learned he still needed to name it. All sorts of name came into his mind but couldn't think anything.

"What name should it be? James, Thomas, Jerrius. Hmmm... Mister Bate!" he unconsciously said some random words in his head.

The cats eyes widened and it pounced into his face.

"No,give me a proper one! Not that one!"

It protested and even grabbed his hair. It wouldn't stop until Kian pulled it away from his head.
