The moment the ray of lightning was shot, Alexa quickly jumped and met it head on with a fist. Her hand was surrounded by a flash of light that only disappeared right after she returned back to the ground.

The light disappeared from her hand which revealed a pair of enormous transparent gauntlets in the shape of huge shark mouths. They disappeared right after a few seconds as if they weren't there.

Kian's eyebrows couldn't help but perk up when he saw this. It seems that Alexa was a bit of a tank and a martial artist.

He only observed her battle for a few seconds before he raised his pistol and shot a barrage of Splinter Shots.

The bullets seemed endless and rained upon the player killers. They didn't really feel that much pain but to see their health points quickly going down like water in a drain shocked them so much that they fell to the ground.

The next round of attacks came. The bullets fired changed and became liquid. They transformed into cuffs that restrained those who fell on their wrists and feet.

Amy didn't had it that easy though. She was engaged in a fight with a cloaked figure wielding a bowgun. The rate of the arrows being shot by the enemy was faster than hers.

A red arrow with flames on its tip flew straight at her.

Kain quickly fired a bullet in the form of a black orb of light. It collided with the arrow and transformed the attack into a heap of wood and metal that fell back to the ground. It was a new skill of his named Disrupt.

The assaulter was surprised but Kian didn't give him any time to recover. He fired an adhesive shot and managed to take the cloaked figure down.

"Quite tough for a magus are you?" Alexa mocked the leader of the ambushers and launched a shock wave.

The attack hit the leader of the ambushers and sent him flying into the air. However, it wasn't enough to kill him.

An electromagnetic field appeared around him. When Alexa entered the field, her movements strangely felt restrained.

"Shoot" she gritted her teeth and jumped away.

Balls of lightning quickly appeared and shot towards her one by one as she tried to escape.

With her movements slowed down, she was not able to avoid the attacks. Feeling desperate, she directly punched the attack before she managed to leave the field. However, the attacks took a lot from her health.

Kian felt annoyed that there were so many enemies thet were still alive. He jumped away to dodge a huge fireball on his way.

Xian was now on his Second Phase, buffing each of his attacks.

He each fired a Distort skill on the enemies. He couldn't really care about the results of the dangerous skills. All he could think about was that he was nervous, and that he had to protect Amy.

The Distort skill was meant to meet skills head on and disrupt. It was in the form of a tiny rotating black hole. As soon as it lodged into an enemy's chest, there was immediately a huge patch of red light that could be seen.

"N-no!" the cloaked figure screamed and took out a potion to recover his health.

Kian then took this as a chance to tie him up.

Amy was also doing well as she managed to take down an enemy that wielded a scythe. The enemy was quite unlucky since he couldn't even get close enough to hit her.
