17: Fortisian Emperor

It was unknown how a Space Crystal is made or where they came from but among the races in the fourth dimension, there few people who are unaware of its existence. Possessing the ability to both manipulate and destroy space, it was something that everyone coveted.

There was one rumor that the reason why a certain peak Type II race was able to advance to Type III was all because their leader had managed to obtain one. That is why when the fluctusans and fortisians learned that the Excelcis emperor had managed to acquire such a valuable object, they quickly suppressed all news about it before they attacked the Excelcis race.

After years of chasing after the Excelcis and even sustaining heavy losses after forcefully barging in to the wormhole that the Excelcis race had created, they arrived in Earth.

To see that the object they had been seeking was actually delivered right next to his doorsteps, the Fortisian emperor was filled with delight that he couldn't help but start laughing.

On the other hand, Kian didn't say anything but just gave him a silent but cold look.

Suddenly, the doors opened and the three fortisians from before entered with worried expressions. They came back after they noticed that the guards outside were dead. When their eyes fell on Kian, they revealed killing intent. Within a second, they were already in their battle stances.

The Fortisian emperor stopped laughing and waved his right hand lightly to his three subordinates.

"Let this emperor handle the intruder. Lock the doors and make sure no one notices this matter." The emperor said calmly and faced Kian once more. Although he was delighted, he knew that the humans before him was not a simple person.

"As you command!" the three fortisians replied at the same time and left the room. Before they did, they haven't forgotten to close the door so no one notices the commotion.

Kian raised an eywbrow for a moment but didn't say anything. It was also to his advantage if no one notices his existence.

The two men locked gazes with one another for a few seconds before they disappeared from their positions.

The emperor appeared on his position with his bone tail piercing the solid floor. Meanwhile, Kian blinked away and shot a beam of psyche energy to the emperor who he already predicted would head to his original position.

The young man's attack was easily avoided. Since the emperor already tasted the strength of Kian's attacks, he was not willing to face them head on unless he had no other choice. Kian fired more attacks with lethality no different from before. However, they were all still avoided.

The results of their confrontation made Kian displeasured. He couldn't help but sigh. Waves of psyche energy suddenly appeared all around his body and spread throughout the whole room. He was now in his full power, something he had never done ever since he returned back to Earth.

The waves of psyche energy were thick. Although they didn't deal any real damage to the fortisian emperor, it was still a bit annoying since it made his head a bit heavy.

Kian took out a spear that had the same function as a concentration gun. It was also a weapon produced by the fluctusans. He charged quite a lot of his energy into the spear and charged towards the emperor.

"Hand over your life!" The emperor shouted in rage. The puny human actually dared to confront head-on a master of combat like him.

The emperor also used his weapon. It was a trident made of an unknown black metal. It glistened ominously as light landed upon it.

The two weapons collided and shook the air. Kian's weapon was thrown out and he was forced to take a few  steps back before he fell to the ground. However, it was enough for him.

A sharp psyche energy in the form of a needle left the spear and shot towards the emperor's hand. It was like a formless snake that entered his hand and striked at his mind. Despite his strong immunity towards psyche energy attacks, he still felt a terrifying aching sensation on his head.

Emperor Superbia ignored the pain and shot his trident towards Kian. This time, the young man was not able to react as fast as before and was embedded in the abdomen with the trident.

Despite Kian's now stronger body, it was still not enough to block a direct attack from the strongest fighter of the fortisian race. With such a fearsome weapon that pierced his internal organs, Kian was in so much pain that he couldn't help but let out the loudest scream he had ever done in his whole life.

He tried to stay conscious and noticed that the emperor's bone tail was now headed towards his way. There was no time to dodge.

Suddenly, the huge amount of psyche energy that came from the psyche energy waves Kian released earlier contracted and formed a black halo of energy that trapped the emperor inside before it entered his body.

It was now the emperor's turn to scream in pain. Naturally, Kian wouldn't let this opportunity go to waste.

A small, barely noticeable black needle packed with almost half of his remaining psyche energy appeared and silently shot towards the emperor who wasn't aware of the attack.

The next moment, the emperor's screams ceased. His large and robust body slowly fell to the ground.

The book is about to end in just a few more chapters. I'm really reluctant to end this but it's been two years and I've just been dragging it. I don't really think it's a good idea to let it reach a hundred chapters.
