A loud roar resounded out in the dark forests of Cloud Tower Boreas' level 130. A woman dressed in green robes made of a certain type of leaves from fell from the skies.

The transparent wings on her back were torn and her creepy face which was mostly made up of her stretched mouth full of sharp teeth was filled with disbelief. Before she could make contact with the ground, she exploded into particles of multicolored lights.

"That was easy." Kian blew on the muzzle of his pistol even though smoke never came out from it before.

"Stop showing off!" Alexa appeared out of nowhere and landed next to him. Her eyes were wide from envy as her gaze landed on his pistol.

Kian couldn't help but laugh at her expression. He stretched out his hand and rubbed her head as if she was a cat. A few meters away, a certain monochromatic cat couldn't help but squint his eyes.

"Don't make fun of me. Hmph!" she humped and pushed his chest away.

Seeing her act as a child, he could do nothing but give a wry smile. After all, even he would get jealous of his current strength right now.

A month has passed since the incident at Aether Castle. Kian also just passed his eighteenth birthday last week which felt like a huge achievement to him. The only thing that felt creepy to him was that he never looked a year older. It was the same for the others.

A few days after he came out of the dungeon, he told Alexa everything that happened. Although it took quite a bit for all the information he gave to sink in to her, gradually she was able to accept the current situation. At the same time, they also tested his new powers.

After advancing to the Cosmage rank, his Status Screen changed just like the others. His stats are now represented as as asterisks. An asterisk is equal to a hundred stat points.

One of the benefits after reaching Cosmage rank is that your stats would double. It is one of the reasons why Cosmages are stronger than Warlocks and Grand Warlocks.

He fell into deep thought for a bit when his eyes landed on the PP gauge. It was short for Psyche Points. Whenever he shoots an attack, it would decrease. It seems that its amount was small since it decreased faster than his mana.

"I wonder how can I raise this one" he couldn't help but wonder.

"Hey, it's past five already. The auction would start tonight at seven." Alexa's words brought him back to reality.

"O-oh. I almost forgot. Let's go? I don't want to miss this one after I failing to attend last month." Kian suggested.

"Sure. I still want to eat and take a shower before we go anyway. Also..." she narrowed her eyes to him.

"No peeking!" she waved her forefinger at him before walking away and disappeared into the Gate.

Kian couldn't help but grin at her words. He shook his head and also passed through the gate.

It was nighttime. However, Boreas City's streets were filled with more people. Lanterns lit up the place and some vendors were still setting up their stalls. The shouts from the Hawkers were also still nonstop to attract customers.

On the wide cobblestone road, a large red carriage sped up. It was hovering a few meters away so it didn't hit any pedestrians. People could only see a red blur for a moment.

It was a Ultra-Fast Auto Carriage of that the Boreas City Neutral Class players were most proud of. With this thing, you can travel at half the speed of a jet. It can only be found in this city since it was for rent and the pay was soul sucking.

Inside, Kian and Alexa sat down and were drinking coffee to set their systems alert since this evening would be a long one.

Soon, they arrived at the entrance of a huge building in the shape of a treasure chest. The large words AETHER AUCTION told everything about what this place was.

The two got off the carriage and paid the appropriate amount of rune stones befote they entered the opened doors of the building.

"Dear Customers, this way" a beautiful lady with white fox ears and tail welcomed them and lead them to a single room.

The room had a single sofa, a table, and a large screen hovering. There were a few drinks and foods laid out in the table. It was clearly just placed right now since he could still feel the heat from the food.

"This auction sure is nice. They really prepared the dishes that we ordered. If we ate these back on Earth, I don't know if I could pay them even if I sold myself" Kian grinned and quickly sat to face the table of foods.

Alexa couldn't help but laugh and also jumped at the sofa.

As the two ate their hearty meal, the monitor changed scenes from the current view atop the Aether Auction toa stage where a beautiful woman with red hair stood.

"Hello and a Happy Evening to all of the ladies and gentlemen in here. Missed me?" the camera zoomed in on her face showing her smile that formed two cute dimples on her face.

Kian and Alexa couldn't help but roll their eyes when they saw her.

It was Amanda, a famous singer tha got trapped inside the game alongside them. At the same time, she was Alexa's acquaintance in the real world. She may look nice right now but she's rude in reality.

Since she was not really the star of the even tonight, the two decided to ignore her for now.

"...Now, let tonight's event begin!" Amanda said and a table materialized next to her.

All the previous noises that could slightly be heard from all the other rooms suddenly disappeared. Kian also couldn't help but grip his fists from nervousness and excitement. The auction was now about to start!
