There was a huge steaming bathhouse inside the hidden based. It was similar to a hot springs, made to relieve stress. Currently, two figures with silver colored hairs and reddish blue eye crystals were half submerged into it. They were Alexa and Amy.

The two were already close friends before they played Dimensional Heroes Online since they've been classmates for years. Thus, they didn't feel awkward when sharing the same bath with each other.

There was a silence between the two of them as they immersed themselves in the comfortable feeling brought by the artificial hot spring.

"Hey Lex, How is it outside?" Amy asked and leaned her back on a huge stone behind her.

Alexa couldn't help but become depressed. She and a few more people left for a mission but she got separated from them due to some accidents along the way. If not for her luck being high at that time, she might not be able to return to the base forever.

"We encountered a group of Fortisians right after we secretly took those concentration guns from the Fluctusan's weapon repairing station. It seems they also came there for a reason. The rumors are true. Their bodies are super strong!" Alexa said, her voice a bit high as she recalled her experiences.

"As for the environment?" Amy asked, her voice low and sad.

Alexa shook her head, a sad smile formed on her face.

Earth's current state was at the worst it could be. This was already the case right after they returned back home from Sylis.

The planet sas struck by a lot of natural disasters due to the huge climate change. It was also then that the world's stopped working normally.

Right after that was the revelation that the Stabilizing Ring that managed both the weather and the heat from the Sun malfunctioned. It was only later on that they realized it was actually a sabotage.

Two alien races from the fourth dimension came. They were the perpetrators of the disasters.

No one knows exactly what they wanted but it definitely involved the Excelcis race since the remaining Excelcis race members that were teleported alongside them were interrogated on the spot or captured. It was also the same for the Half-Excelcises later on.

They had to fight back but the combined forces of these two advanced type two civilizations' war equipment, strategies, and carefully laid out plots, were too overwhelming for a bunch of scattered and inexperienced humans.

The players who thought they had just escaped from the days of hiding were face with the fact that they still haven't really been set free.

"If only big bro was here..." Amy muttered and looked up the ceiling, her eyes slightly wet.

"Hmph! Even if he was here, what can he do? That guy..." Alexa started to grumbled, and turned her back away from Amy to hide her expression.

Unconsciously, her fingers started playing with the water, her thoughts getting deeper and deeper. Alexa remembered when Kian pushed her into a star when she said wanted she to stay with him. Helplessness and sadness were not enough to describe her feelings when she couldn't reach out to him anymore at that time.

At the same time, she wished he could still return so he could beat him up. Of course, she knew that what he did was the mature and right thing to do but she still couldn't help but be frustrated.

Half an hour later, Alexa and Amy left the bathhouse refreshed. As they travelled through the long hallways, they met quite a few people who were originally players. They also met Kian and Amy's parents who were brought with them instead of following the government's shelter.

The next morning, Alexa did her usual morning routines before she entered the command center where she found the others.

"Good Morning!" She greeted as she drank from a cup of coffee she didn't where she got.

"That's mine!" a voice complained.

Sadly, that person was bound to be ignored as Alexa's attention was already locked into the huge screen, her expression changing a few times.

On the screen was an image of a familiar halo made from some kind of black crystal. There were a few details below which shockingly showed the huge amount of energy contained within the black crystal halo.

"What's the meaning of this?" Alexa turned her head towards the others as she asked.

"Nice timing. We were about to discuss this with the others." A man said.

His name was Fidel, the guild leader of one of the top ten guilds within Dimensional Heroes Online. Unexpectedly, he also worked for the government and knew some abandoned secret bases. He was the one who opened up this base for the game's survivors.

A meeting started. Fidel explained to everyone the image in the screen.

Alexa could not help but fall into deep thought.

Two cities away from their current location was a drone that they left for surveillance matters. After a few months of no contact, it suddenly sent a message.

It found a strange fluctuation of psyche energy with strength it had never felt before. When they took an image of the location where the energy fluctuation came from, they found this.

"I'm going." Alexa declared, her face was serious.

Her decision made some of the people inside worried so they quickly tried to dissuade her.

"But you just came back. It's dangerous!" Amy discouraged her.

Alexa didn't reply. Her expression was resolute as she stared at the image in the screen. Countless thoughts ran across her mind. She knew that she wouldn't be able to calm down unless she got to the bottom of things. Thus, she came to a decision, she had to go there.
